Dr. Diego Villa is not only one of the best Oncologist, he is also very kind, caring and compassionate. Our very elderly dad, who had Stage 3 Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma, is completely cured after receiving chemo prescribed by Dr. Villa. He made sure that our dad received the best treatment and at the same time with the least possible suffering. He saved our dad's life. We couldn't have asked for a better doctor!

Can't say enough good about Dr V. Fairly on time. Gives you 100% attention when with you. Calls within a day about concerns or if he knows you are worried. Arranges consults and tests/scans efficiently. Takes control when you need help but then helps you take control yourself. No woo but supports ppl trying CAM. Honest. Doesn't scare you with stats. Compassionate. Knows what's in the pipeline. On top of the research. Great clinical judgement. Supported my advocacy efforts.

But then he went on sabbatical- for which I'm not sure I'll forgive him. Wish I'd known. I am beside myself trying to figure out what's wrong & his locum cares very little. This time last year I was running 1/2 marathons and now can barely sit up 2 hrs. I know damn well it's related to long term SE & is neurological. Not cancer (I hope). Yet had to argue to get referral. And when I asked about further cardiac invest was told to go to my GP. Oh and go to psychiatry......because absent tendon reflexes and BP drops of 50mm are psychosomatic??? No - and are the opposite of the SE of my meds. I don't know if I can hold on until Dr V returns. I need answers and solutions and nobody else seems to get it.

Even if he didn't know he'd make you feel OK about it and provide assistance to improve quality of life.

Where is the world is Diego right now?

This is the worse doctor I dealt with throughout my cancer. First when I was rediagnosed he told me I had very little hope, Then I had to see him one time after I was doing better before BMT and told him remember when you said I had no hope. Now look at me I am responding well. He said yes but you haven't done the transplant yet.

My daughter arrived at Dr. Villa's office three years ago with stage four breast cancer which we knew was not good. She got wonderful care. Dr. Villa is kind, compassionate and professional and I think they even would share a joke together. Our daughter just passed away and we are just so glad that we happened to get Dr. Villa for her oncologist.

I found him to be passionate about treatment but not very helpful or knowledgable in answering basic questions.

Dr Villa was very thorough with his examination and had clearly read my notes and results before he saw me. He was very kind, explained my condition and answered all of my questions. He had a great bedside manner and is clearly very knowledgeable about his area of expertise. I feel very confident in him and his treatment plans.

Dr. Villa has a calm manner and answered my questions in terms I could understand. He offered a possible treatment option but was very understanding when I opted to 'watch and wait'. On each of my visits, Dr. Villa had a very knowledgable medical student or resident working with him. I feel I am in very good hands as the follow-up appointments are scheduled.

I was transferred to Dr Villa, from Dr Hoskins, for yearly checkups. Dr Hospkins had treated me for 4th stage Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Dr Villa is a friendly, warm person who shows concern for his patients. He is extremely knowledgeable in his field.
