After hearing all of the wonderful stories about this office, we wanted our son to be seen by Dr. Pineau. First of all, a real person NEVER answers the phone when you call. How do I know this? I called in about 6 different times leaving a friendly voice mail that I would appreciate a call back to see that my referral went through. THEY NEVER CALLED ME BACK. After talking about this to my family doctor, apparently we were urgently referred to this office and again were told someone would be in contact with us, or have us call them back. We called back again, left another message, and nobody ever returned our call. They also never got a hold of us not ONE single time. This is the absolute WORST that I've ever seen. How an office can be so completely unprofessional and disrespectful is an insult and an absolute shame. A child deserves better than this.

We have had Dr. Pineau treat our daughters for over 17 years now. She has always taken the time to listen to us and go out of her way to make sure that the girls were well cared for by her and their team. She would write notes and contact other professionals in order to meet their needs. She always respected and listened to us before making a treatment plan . We always were able to get in to see her in a timely manner and we always left feeling confident that the decisions made were the best ones to meet the girls complex health needs. She genuinely cares about her patients and has made follow up phone calls as well as reassuring us as parents that its okay to call if the care plan is not meeting our girls needs. She also works around schedules of her patients and families whenever possible.

My daughter now 17 years old has seen this doctor since she was a newborn. Lots of special needs a heart condition , lots of health problems etc. I was always happy and satisfied leaving the office knowing my daughter was getting excellent care. She always led us in the proper care to see lots of other specialist at McMaster , thanks again to a wonderful doctor .

Linda has been following my preemie and she does a wonderful job. She is on the ball, very knowledgeable, and very accommodating! She is awesome with my little boy and has kept a good eye on him from the NICU to now. She always made sure we had what we needed and made me and my husband feel so comfortable knowing our child is being monitored very closely with great care and vigilance! Love her.

Didnt recognize signs of milk protein allergy in my son, i had to figure out myself.
Didnt believe in being allergic to hypoallergenic formula, which he is
Wasnt concerned about his chronic constipation caused by soy formula
Never mentioned or offered amino acid formula
Could never answer my questions
Wasnt concerned about the oral ties resulting in poor breastfeeding and refused to fix them.

Every question we asked her was responded with 'i'm not sure' or her having to look it up. She didnt seem very certain of anything. And she called child services when my son was born because ive had to be on zoloft for the last 3 years ...

My child had an issue that could not be solved by other doctors fo rd over 2 years, it was solved by her help.my daughter loves her because she listen to he rd and take he Dr time, she does not make fun of her concerns nor ignore them.she called back afte rd lab results by herself, that wa as the first time a doctor calls me to give me the results. Always, eithe rd as nurse or no one calls or the nurse ask me to come to talk to the doctor.
She tries her best, never afraid of saying i don't. Know or, i consulted someone .
I raise my hat for her dedicated work

She does take time when you have an appointment and seems to be caring but she has an issue with diagnosing. If you have a child with Special Needs she is the worst Pediatrician to have. She does not return calls in a decent time frame (it takes her minimum 2 weeks to return your calls). As of now it has been over a month she has returned my calls regarding booking an apointment for my son and she never even showed up for the last appointment. Very unprofessional and inconsiderate. She is very busy so if your child is typical, she might be suitable but if your child has a special need, don't waste your time with her. She just sets you back and is afraid to give diagnosis because I believe she does not have much knowledge in Special needs (such as genetic issues or disorders).

We have been taking our son to Dr Pineau for 7+ years and she is one of the best pediatricians I have interacted with. She spends time with our son, asks lots of questions and listens to concerns and acts upon them. She makes you feel like you are a valued part of the team, which is a great feeling as a parent. I would highly recommend her. I gave the staff a medium rating because for the first 5 years we went to the office, her receptionist was completely incompetent and rude. Her new receptionist seems to be quite a bit better thankfully.
