Incompetent. He lost his notes for a nasolaryngoscopy and so he did another one on the spot during the follow up for the first one. He was rough and caused damage. I have learned that this charlatan is working with sociopath Dermatologist Zaki Taher. Beware both of these people. Ansari is corrupt and avaricious but Taher is deliberately harming people, like giving pregnant women Accutane.

He is always, ALWAYS late. he does not have a secretary at the U of A ENT clinic and he is usually behind. and he does not go in time order. I asked the receptionist when my turn was and they told me I was next and when he came out he called another patient who had a later appointment, so do not expect to be called in when your appointment is scheduled.

After much deliberation, I decided to make this post.

Dr Khalid seems like he would be a very good surgeon and a very caring doctor etc.

I got evaluated and all of my questions answered. He was meticulous and everyone there evaluating me seemed absolutely fantastic. I had a fairly complex rhinoplasty case and at that moment felt at ease and felt that I was in good hands.

Covid then happened and there were numerous delays, which I expected but was told every 4 to 6 months that it would be another 4 to 6 months etc...

At the time of evaluation, I was told that there would be another consultation with photos and there would be a cost and see if I liked the results to go ahead with surgery.

When I finally got the call to go for surgery, I had not much notice and was told that it was pictures and then surgery right after and I had to pay for it all. When I explained I thought that there was another appointment for another consult (paid) with pictures which is fine, and then a decision would be made, I was told no, ( I also just had double jaw surgery before and because of my upper jaw was brought forward, my nose has changed a bit. )

So, you are telling me, I can't see potential results from a rhinoplasty which all other places provide, to see if it would be a good fit especially after double jaw surgery in between?(which I confirmed at my original consult)?? what kind of an operation are we running here?

After I declined for surgery as I could not made that decision without having the chance to see potential results and the option to not go through with it (as I was told I was able to in the initial consult) She told me I probably wouldn't be on the list anymore and hung up the phone.

This, after waiting for a few years on this surgeon to be treated this way is insane. Its not like the final consult is free.. I"m risking losing the consult/picture fees...

So, I have not heard from them for many months so i'm off the "list" which I assumed by her hanging up the phone on me.

Like I said, I think the surgeon would be great, its the organization. communication and staff that is not.

The doctor did a fantastic job. I was at ease every step of the way. The waiting room could use a little work. Average wait time was one hour 15min . They do warn you of this but would be nice if they could tighten that up .

Phenomenal doctor and surgeon. Very kind, compassionate as well as knowledgeable and with a genuine vocation for his profession. Got my appointments straight away and never had to wait longer than 10-15 mins. I can wholeheartedly recommend Dr Ansari as one of the best ENT doctors in the entire Edmonton and beyond.

Dr. Ansari performed a Peramedian Forehead Flap & skin graft on a dermatologist-botched Moh’s surgery of a BCC on my nose. Amazingly talented, kind, compassionate & gentle. Just an all-around amazing doctor and a lovely person. But, I wish he would follow up with my daughter on booking her rhinoplasty, as her breathing is horrific! He sent her for all the preliminary facial scans and photos, but never followed up with the actual surgery. Those photos he sent her for were extremely expensive ($600+, I believe) and now she’s been waiting approx. 4 years for the surgery, pretty shocking!! So, this is the one area where I’d say he needs to improve drastically.

Dr. Ansari is very passionate and knowledgeable about his work. He is very detailed and will go through everything with you so you are comfortable and informed. I have waited 2 years to see him and am incredibly impressed. I cannot go on enough. If you are able to wait for surgery (he has limited availability for anything other than emergency procedures), I highly recommend. Such a great man.
