This doctor ruined my life. Beware of all the hype and publicity this man gets and don’t fall in the same trap I did. I was recommended to Dr. Rodriguez because he was “the best”. I realize now that “the best” is subjective.
He recommended a partial knee and acl replacement for me because of my age (46). What he didn’t tell me until after the surgery was this was never done before together. I come to find out after 3 years of suffering and 3 surgeries later that the hardware he put in was place incorrectly along side the acl. This was told to me by 3 well respected, specializing in revision surgery doctors who where unaware I was seeking the 3 opinions. I was looking for several different opinions for my last surgery (full knee replacement) I finally had my knee replacement and it’s better but I will be suffering forever and my life will never be the same because of this man. He never took responsibility, never cared and most of all lied to me. He never told me this was the issue. I believe it’s to protect his ego from being shattered. When choosing a surgeon. Please learn from my mistake. Do your research and get several opinions. There are many great ones out there Dr. Rodriguez is not one of them.

I had a bilateral anterior hip replacement done in the spring and was walking within 24 hours. Incredible doctor. Prior to this, I could not walk without a cane and you could hear bone grinding 20 feet away.
No pain, no aftereffects. Even the scars are tiny. I literally have my life back. I cannot thank him enough. He and his team have done an incredible job.

Dr. Rodriguez gave new meaning to life by performing an exceptional knee replacement surgery seven weeks ago. Due to this doctor's expertise, I had minimal pain and have been walking without assisted devises for over four weeks. This has been a game changing experience. Thank you Dr. Rodriguez and the remarkable Verna for the exceptional care you so generously offer to your patients.

This office is FUBAR! Expectations were met with abject failure. And, you could be this office’s next victim!!!

Fact: Consultation with Dr. Rodriguez on March 2, 2022. Fact: Within the next two weeks, Verna called and set the expectation of surgery approximately 12-14 months from date of consultation. Fact: On February 6, 2023, received an automatic e-mail reply confirming the expectation of “continuing to contact our surgical patients to provide them with their surgery dates” and “current wait time for surgery is approximately a 12-14 month wait from the time of your consult appointment with Dr. Rodriguez.” Fact: After multiple attempts to contact this office, Verna picked up the phone on April 12, 2023 and set an expectation… promised to get back that afternoon; did NOT happen! Fact: On May 1, 2023 (1 day short of 14 months), Verna finally called with a referral to another orthopedic surgeon at a different hospital; she said she marked the referral URGENT! (News Flash… Dr. Rodriguez’s urgent is NOT the next surgeon’s urgent!)

And the worst failure of all, because it reflects on all Ontario doctors… the expectations of a physicians “Ending the Physician-Patient Relationship”, as published by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.

The whole process of knee surgery with Dr. Rodriguez's team was exceptional. Follow-ups one seldom gets anymore from doctors but his team does and so do he. A wonderful experience for sure.

I had bilateral total hip replacements by Dr. Rodriguez March 31, 2022. The operation was - I believe - very successful and i have regained at this time about 80% mobility and strength. There was no real pain through recovery. As suggested by his team I rented and used the ice machine - inflammation and pain were minimal - no need for any of the heavy duty pain meds. My recovery went so well that at 6 months I competed and won a Olympic distance swim/bike race!"
This group was sensational - professional, responsive and knowledgeable. I had more than a few questions about the surgery and the rehab process. Everything was explained to my level of knowledge and understanding and beyond. Dr. Rodriguez - although busy did take some time with me to discuss materials to be used for the hip replacements - pros and cons of different material etc..., and how the operation would proceed. I could go on but would like to agree with some of the previous comments "The staff at the Humber River Hospital are first class all the way. They ensure that physio treatments are set up for you in your community. Verna is totally dedicated and Dr. Rodriguez is one of the best at what he does. I would recommend Dr. Rodriguez and his team.

Dr. Rodriguez performed a knee replacement in January 2023 and an Anterior hip replacement in October 2022 and totally surprised and amazed or how quickly I recovered from these surgeries. He is the most amazing talented and caring doctor I have ever known. The staff at the Humber River Hospital who prepare you with so much information are first class all the way as they made me feel so comfortable and worry free. They set up physio treatments for you. Verna is totally dedicated as she would answer any concerns I have immediately . The anesthesiologist was so gentle and did not feel a thing. I went home the same day and with my knee replacement, I had an adductor which provided me with morphine automatically and called me the next 3 days to make sure I was doing good. The follow up patient care shows how he truly is concern of how his patient is healing. There is not other doctor I would go to . Thank you Dr Rodriquez for making my life so much enjoyable.

Total hip replacement in December 2022. Outstanding experience start to finish at Humber. From his office staff (Verna) to hospital staff - pleasant and professional. No narcotics required after surgery . Highly recommend to follow instructions to the t and you’ll be saying I should have done this earlier.

Total knee replacement on Dec 12th - man alive, the whole process from start to finish was so smooth, efficient and professional - couldn't possibly have asked for a better outcome. I am delighted to write and recommend Dr Rodriguez and his support staff - they are awesome! I was concerned about pain, but it just never came - might well have been the prescribed drugs, but they sure worked . He's a fab surgeon, one of the best around if not the best!
