I am thrilled with the results of my implant removal. Dr. Frank and his staff are exceptional and readily available to answer questions and help with follow up. I highly recommend them to anyone considering having this done.

In the summer of 2017, my 4 year old daughter was goofing around on our exercise machine at home. Her right pinky toe got stuck and she sliced it almost completely off. She was rushed to Children’s in the hopes of saving her toe. Dr. Frank was her surgeon and reattached her little toe perfectly. Today you would never even be able to tell it had happened. He was excellent in dealing with me as a traumatized mother and excellent in taking care of my little girl from surgery to all her follow-ups.

I had rhinoplasty surgery with Dr. Frank in August of 2017 and he and his staff were incredible from the consultation to the surgery and follow up appointments. I am so happy with the result! Dr. Frank listened to exactly what I wanted, providing me with such a natural result but giving me a nose I feel so much more confident with. I liked that he did not suggest and unnecessary surgeries as I had even asked in my consultation whether he thought I should do a chin implant as well - as I had read that this was suggested by many surgeons when performing rhinoplasty. He advised against this and provided me great results. I am a little over 2 years post op and so happy with my decision and the healing process was so easy! I would recommend choosing Dr.Frank for anyone looking to get rhinoplasty!

Dr. Frank is the BEST!!! I first saw Dr. Frank when I had a referral from my family doctor for a removal of a cyst (top of head). From the moment I walked in to the surgical suite, Dr. Frank made me feel at ease with his warmth and caring nature. His bedside manner is AMAZING!! He is not only easy on the eyes; he is extremely entertaining. I knew that he was the plastic surgeon I wanted to go to for my implant explant. When I met with Dr. Frank for my consult, he was quick to remember me from a few years back. The consult was as I expected - he did not disappoint :). It has now been just over 2 weeks post-op and I feel amazing. I saw Dr. Frank yesterday and all I can say is...if you are wanting or needing plastic surgery, this is your guy! Thank you, thank you, thank you, to Dr. Frank, Shona, his pre-op nurse, Lana and his amazing post-op nurse, Carol :)

I had a BA back in January of 2019 and I am almost 1 year post op. My experience with Dr. Frank was amazing. He's very knowledgeable, kind, and respectful. Although I was nervous at first about going through the nipple as it's not the most common way to go, I am SO happy I did. He gave me a lot of information about doing it this way and I think it made my recovery go so much better. I have friends that went under the breast and they took a lot longer to heal, had issues going back to the gym, and have commented about their bras irritating their incision site. Plus, the scarring is way less noticeable as well. Shona, the receptionist, was so friendly and helpful and I absolutely loved his surgical nurse Carol as well. My consultation and surgery day went great, the only thing that I would say was a slight negative was that for my pre op apt, they were super behind so I waited for almost 40 mins and then felt super rushed during my time. He has another nurse that is there during the consultation and pre op apt and I wouldn't say she's the most friendly person but she sure knew her stuff! Dr. Frank listened to all of my questions and concerns and addressed them flawlessly. I almost was wanting to go a bit smaller then I did, but I am SO glad I didn't cause now I wish I had went even bigger haha. I had three sizes to choose from and he told me he felt the medium size would look best and would give me the look I was going for and he was absolutely right. I also have MS, struggle with my thyroid and have other health issues and I was concerned about the risks of my surgery. They had me do blood work, got recent documents from my doctors, made me talk to my specialist at the MS clinic, took a list of all my medications, and just made sure I was in overall good health and told me they would not operate if they felt the risk was too high. I had no issues recovering what so ever, there were only two days where I was very sore and uncomfortable but was back to work after 10 days. They were very thorough with everything, made sure I was looked after, and were honestly very caring. I have so much more confidence now and hardly notice I even have implants. Would definitely recommend !! (:

Dr. Ryan Frank and all his staff, including Shona and Carol were excellent. I know there were others in the operating room, and I feel bad about it, but they were so awesome as well. I always felt like I was in good hands. Thank you all so much!!

I am 2 months out from my rhinoplasty with Dr. Frank and I couldn't be happier! I'm still in the healing phase but the results are already beautiful! Dr. Frank was so kind & honest about what he would be able to do for me and gave me a realistic outlook on what I could expect. You & your team made me feel so comfortable! I was so nervous leading up to surgery, I swear I called Shona every week and she gladly answered all the silly questions I had leading up to the big day. Carol (the nurse that takes care of you during/after surgery) was so sweet and really put me at ease. I'll be coming back soon for my breast augment! Thank you so much!!

My daughter had an extensive rhinoseptoplasty by Dr. Frank. She had three prior surgeries for this from another surgeon who was lovely, but he unfortunately just could not correct the situation. I cannot emphasize enough the talent and skill of Dr. Frank. She can breathe very well now and her nose looks absolutely fabulous. We cannot say enough good things about this surgeon!

    Biography

Born and raised in Calgary, I have chosen to set up my practice and life in the city that I love so much. I completed my medical school and plastic surgical residency training at the University of Calgary. I then had the unique opportunity to learn from a variety of excellent plastic and reconstructive surgeons at the University of California, San Diego during my pediatric and cosmetic surgical fellowship. Once I completed my surgical training, I decided to pursue an MBA degree from Queen’s University and Cornell University, mainly to help round out my education and give me a different perspective on the delivery of health care. My passions in life include hockey, snowboarding, golf, tennis, and travel. Having a strong passion for travel has given me so much insight into not only how lucky we are to live in such a beautiful part of the world, but also how lucky we are to have access to such great medical care. The international cleft lip and palate mission I took part in during my residency training with Operation Rainbow Canada to Cambodia has inspired me to want to do more for those in need. I look forward to attending overseas missions on a regular basis. The skills I have learned and acquired over the years are a blessing. I can’t tell you how amazing it feels to know that I have the ability to help someone gain the confidence they need to become the person they have always dreamt about becoming. I look forward to meeting you to discuss how I can help you feel as good about yourself as possible.
