terrible staff, called to inquire info about a mutual pt, they were rude and snappy, and even hung up on me. called back and told them how to behave in a professional environment, and mentioned that i hoped they were nicer to their patients than they are to medical professionals.

I have had Dr. V. as my primary care physician for over 20 years. She has always been punctual, professional, kind and caring. She listens, diagnoses well, and does this in addition to running an extremely well-run medical clinic comprised of excellent doctors and front-line staff. I have read some of the older comments about rudeness of the receptionists and that Dr. V. doesn't seem to have time for people or makes them wait, and I have never experienced any of that. Perhaps waiting could be a factor but this is most likely because the patient who she is attending to is trying to express every ache and pain that they have and is wasting her time. Usually the time allotted to each patient is perhaps 20 minutes and that should be more than enough, but I have seen people go in grieving about everything under the sun and sadly, the Doctors must listen to them. Her knowledge and training is unsurpassed, prescribing only the correct drugs as needed. She is a wonderful doctor.

Never there when needed. Shes always gone for 6 weeks at a time and Her staff are unbelievably rude.

I’m not one to stick around if I’m not happy with a doctor. Dr. A. Vandewaetere has been my hero and family doctor for 25 years, and my son’s for over 10 until he moved to GTA (he misses her). Throughout, Dr. V. has been by my side as I dealt with multiple health issues. Always unwaveringly perceptive, attentive and caring, she has applied state-of-the-art knowledge to help me. I also saw Dr. V. effectively manage a clinic of medical doctors and assistants, which for many years included a walk-in with its unpredictability of new patients. At 65 now and retired, I can look back and marvel at her championing of my health issues: obtaining timely blood work/ultrasounds/ X-rays/MRIs/biopsies and specialist input to support optimal options; writing medical submissions; obtaining second opinions; dealing immediately with issues; etc.. Dr. V. has been a key cornerstone for my health: in times of my extreme stress in delivering on the job; being the main caregiver for my son; caring for my very disabled mother; dealing with my sister’s untimely death; and my own challenge with cancer. Dr. V. was deeply worried about my cancer and because of her persistent insistence and referrals, I am in my 6th survival year. All this to say that Dr. V. has been and continues to be an amazing doctor for me. The supporting staff are amazing too – Joanne, Stacey, Rania and Tina, etc. Like me, they are sticklers. High 5’s all around!

Amazing doctor, made sure I was at full health asap and that I didn't miss too much time from school. Really cannot overstate how accommodating she was to my needs.

Going to Dr Vandewaetere is one of the best decisions I've made in my life. It's like having a second mother with how caring and attentive she is. She constantly ensures I'm seeing her regularly enough and as a result my health has never been better.

After jumping from doctor to doctor I finally settled on Dr Vandewaetere. She went through my concerns and helped me deal with them in a way that wouldn't affect my schooling and overall just helped me calm down. Finding her to be my Doctor has been a life changing experience and relieved so much of my stress.

Very personable, listens to every issue I had patiently and presented a solution that really fit me as a person. After many years of feeling like doctors are just doing their job when I visit them she really made me feel like she actually cared

She thinks people are subordinate to her. She can be impatient, unkind, uncaring, not as thorough as a physician should be and her staff can be rude and unprofessional. She makes people feel uncomfortable and can be intolerant of others.

There was a time that I though she walked on water, she was soooo helpful and interested in her patients. Then as time went by I've noticed that she doesn't have the same interest or care for her patients. I was a patient of hers for 25 year .. she blew me off twice .. I ended up with Stomach cancer which could have been caught a lot earlier if it wasn't for her blowing me off not once but twice. In the end she told me to go to Emergency .. One would think that if you have been a patient of a doctor for over 25 years that you might expect to hear something from her .. nope .. not a word.
