Dr. Latimer was my family doctor for 7 years. He is a special doctor indeed and always took the time needed during my visits despite having a full waiting room. He was always careful with any treatments and made sure i understood what and why we were doing or not doing something. I felt i was part of the decision making process. Sure, he may talk fast at times but that doesn't reflect on his abilities as a doctor. He is one of the few good ones. I wish I knew where he was now but appletree will not tell me if or when he will return. I was generous in giving apple tree staff a 3/5 since they seem to take great pleasure in being difficult to deal with.

Efficient, professional and takes the time to explain tests, results and treatment. He's also an interesting and well traveled guy.

I don't think the person who planned on making a formal complaint about Dr. Latimer should have done that. They don't know what is involved in making a formal complaint about a doctor. It is something you take very seriously if you do that as your medical record could be made public knowledge and also the doctor could be audited and asked to stop practicing. When I made a complaint 'about this other doctor' it was more because she appeared to have little medical knowledge such that she was giving her patients "more health problems" she was that unskilled. Dr. Latimer knows what he is doing medically however, he is very stressed and is burning out. He is not incompetent medically he is overworked. The person should have taken him aside gently and told him how stressed and unwell he looks sometimes. He is far from incompetent.

My family Dr. Good bedside manner and seems professional. I like the staff and while I have to wait longer than I sometimes like, it is likely that this is a result of the appletree model.

The worst experience ever! This is a quack of a doctor! This doctor should be reported by more people! How can anyone go see him and not realize he is unwell. He is either high on prescription drugs or high on illegal drugs. We couldnt understand what he was saying he was stumbling as he spoke. He didnt care about what we were saying. Not only that during our appointment he left so we went into the hall way to find him sleeping on his desk!! Yep he is so high on something that he cant even make it through one appointment. We even heard the employees telling him dont worry we didnt let you sleep more than 20 minutes. We made a complaint and confronted the employees and all they could say was they could not say anything to that effect. I will definitly be making a formal complaint and all you people that come here to complain but dont do anything about this unfit doctor need to do the same! Scary to think he is sonout of it that he can simply write scripts for anything!!

I am giving Dr. Latimer top marks as a doctor because of his good heart but I know for a fact he is not well enough to be practicing. I am not planning on filing a complaint as I had to file a complaint about another doctor and sadly she got barred. I was upset as the other doctor did do many things write but was abusing her authority as a doctor so must have had many other complaints. I am not sure about Dr. Latimer sometimes - I am not saying he is abusing his authority at all as he doesn't seem like that at all. I went in to renew my DTC and he told me that "I didn't qualify" however I had had a disability for a large part of my life what was classified by at least 5 doctors in the past he also didn't look at any supporting evidence on my file and was not my regular specialist who knew more of my illness. He then told me "that he didn't want me to go off ODSP but I didn't qualify for the DTC. I was not comfortable discussing how clinically depressed I have really been recently and my other serious health issue like having dangerously high blood pressure had been grossly over looked when having gone on previous visits to him. A person can not "undisable" themselves once it is on medical record that they had a severe disability for years and ODSP is contingent of the DTC. I have had a hard time with my disability but if I worked more than just a couple of hours a week I would probably get very sick again as I probably would not make enough money to make ends meet. Trying to cut a person of ODSP cold turkey when they have a serious illness is not quite right. I have seen Dr Latimer numerous times and on at least 4 occasions he looked very unwell himself and I was even worried he might be getting cancer himself because of being exposed to many sick people. Can someone else reach out to this doctor? I personally think he should take sick leave if he is able to. The reason I hope this message reaches him is because I worked previously in a medical environment and got sick doing so myself. I am "permanently disabled whether I like it or not.

The last time I was in to see Dr. Latimer there was a 2 hour wait to get in. This was "clearly not Dr. Latimer's fault as he was the only GP in that day - someone was trying to give him heck - I was upset for him as he was doing his best to hold the fort on his own and he was extremely kind to the person giving him heck. He looked very stressed and very over worked but was still very competent with me in his office. I think he cares a lot about his patients and what service they.

Every single time I have gone to see Dr Latimer, I have received excellent care. He’s a good balance of being a strong clinician while having a pleasant bedside manner and knows when to ask probing questions to the patient for more information. I’m not only thankful I have a GP (after 10yrs without one) but I’m also very happy that it’s him. The staff are always pleasant and I was very impressed with how kind they were to this older woman who quite frankly, I would have lost my patience with long ago had I been asked to deal with her.

I have nothing good to say about this doctor who is careless and his mind some where else, we were in the office over thirty minutes unless I have to remind him that we are waiting, she was napping during the second time when he suggested my daughter to take the tops off for listen to her heart beat. Very helpless and unprofessional, if you have young kids visiting him, please be aware , I won't come back to him again!
