I was part of the LEAF program: Late Effects Assessment and Follow-up. I thought it was a great program, but the appointments are only once a year. Eeach time there's only an allotment for a few tests, but I need a thorough follow-up each time. I only get the same couple of issues addressed over and over, but they remain unresolved meanwhile I have other worsening problems that don't get dealt with. The tests I get are minimal and basic, so luckily I get yearly MRIs from another doctor not arranged by this program. I had heavy lumbo-sacral radiation as a child and chronic abdominal symptoms with recurring shock-like symptoms , but I could never get help for it because of an ovarian or peritoneal cyst. I would only get referrals to gynecologists who can never find anything wrong, but like I said: basic tests. After several years of being her patient she couldn't get around to ordering a gut CT or colonoscopy which I was high priority given my history and symptoms. During COVID, they were so obsessed with "the jab" and it became the focus of everything; care went out the window. I had a heated argument with the staff, and have been afraid to go back. Since then I've had two successful high-risk pregnancies by caesarean section, and the complications have merged with my gut problem, and I'm in serious trouble and unable to get a CT scan. I'm grateful for the counselling, paperwork and services they provide, but it's also in exchange for my data, so I guess it evens out. I wish the program was better, but you can't fully trust the BC/Canadian Cancer Society.

Dr Karen Goddard has been my sons Dr for the past 18 years. We have honestly been blessed to have her in our lives. She is the most compassionate, caring, amazing person and we honestly love her. Thank you Dr Goddard for all you do.

Dr. Karen Goddard is one of the most compassionate, kind, knowledgeable and dedicated doctors I have ever seen. Due to my illness  and nature of work I was seen by specialists from three different continents. Such a precious Lady doctor! I am very lucky and grateful that she has been my doctor for the past 5 years.
Margarita, her secretary is very kind, helpful , caring and above all very proficient.

Dr. Goddard is very efficient whenever I got problem within the week I was send to a specialist. However her nurse isn't friendly and blame me when they mess up their schedule when my appointment was booked one year ago.. other than that she is a great dr.

Dr Goddard was very busy the day we saw her and she stopped by the room we were waiting in to apologize. When she did arrive again she apologized again and the proceeded to spend over half an hour with us. She was extremely caring and interested in hearing all concerns. She explained everything about the long term effects of cancer treatment in great detail and we both felt very cared for when we left. Thank you Dr Goddard!
