Would Highly reccommend him to ANYONE! He is caring, good listener, empathetic, knowledge is amazing!

Found the office staff pleasant enough, and Dr. Johnston is probably quite knowledgeable (but found he didn't listen much). Tried to use humour to brush concerns off... each time I have seen him he is appears to be extremely rushed, which probably explains his not having time to listen (you are lucky if you get 2-3 minutes with him). I only gave 3 stars for punctuality as appointments have been rescheduled on multiple occasions (due to him not being in the country - apparently he actually "lives" in the states). In all fairness, perhaps I shouldn't be giving Dr. Johnston this mediocre review/rating; perhaps it's more related to the state of our healthcare in Ontario (or lack of) and shortage of doctors.

Dr Johnston used to practice our of KMH Cardiology in Mississauga many years ago - I found him caring however he was a that time more about regulating with meds - less about diagnosis. He got the afib right but missed my enlarged heart - it was Dr. Beryl Montlagh who saved me by also putting me on Digoxin for a while with the beta blockers.

DR. Johnston called it like I didn't want to hear it. I did not like it but guess what, all he did for me was to SAVE MY LIFE !!! THANK YOU DR.

After calling ahead that I would be late for appointment, and kmh saying no problem and would advise doctor's office, I arrived 12 minutes late and told had to rebook another appointment. I left 30 minutes ahead of when l would normally leave so I could shop in town before appointment but was stuck behind traffic on 2 lane road with no way to get passed long backup due to line painting. No way to use other side roads. With gas prices sky high and having waited for 38 minutes previously to see the doctor, such disrespect by the clinic staff and, assuming it was dr. Johnston who made the rules, this is more than hard to swallow. If the frustration and anger of being treated treated as if my efforts and expense to travel the long distance to the appointment were of no concern...didn't give me a hear attack, then I guess I must be doing alright.

He lost his medical license to practice medicine in the US for failure to comply with a treatment program to address his alcoholism. Good luck

Dr. Johnston has such a world of knowledge. He has been a board certified cardiologist for almost 30 years. People should be aware- there are doctors who are internists and claim to have a specialty in cardiology. That is much different than being a board certified cardiologist. I know this because I have been a nurse for 25 years.
Anyways, he has a great bedside manner. He has seen patients throughout Covid when most doctors hid in the basement. He is the real deal. If something is wrong with your heart or your family member’s heart, he’s the man that you want to see. You’ll be glad you did. Just sayin.

The very best doctor I have ever had in my life. I am 71 years old and believe me I know a good doctor from a great doctor. Dr. Johnston is a great doctor.
