An outstanding cardiologist and empathetic, provided comprehensive care for my father, who doesn't speak English. Recognizing the language barrier, the doctor provided a full detailed report, enabling me to discuss my dad's heart condition with him throughly and help him understand his potential procedures for later on.

I'm so grateful to Dr. Darren Kagal for his professionalism and kindness to me, the person who was born in 1936. He has prolonged and is prolonging my normal active life. The cardiac ablation was done on May 31, 2019 in Sunnybrook Hospital. I live and I'm happy because of that. Highly recommended for everyone who is need in.

I was referred by my cardiologist to see Dr Kagal who is a specialist in doing cardiac ablation which happened to be the best option for treatment of my case. I found him to be knowledgeable, confident and reassuring after consulting him. On the day of procedure, I was so comfortable being taken care by a whole team of professional and caring staff lead by Dr. Kagal. The cardiac lab in Sunnybrook hospital also equipped with the cutting edge technology. Dr. Kagal and Dr. Salum highly professional techniques no doubt are key factors for a successful treatment of my SVT.

I have been seeing Dr. Kagal at his North York office for just over four years as I was “surprised” by a heart attack at the young age of 56 and I was lucky enough to have him be assigned to my case at NYG, so I see home for my continuing care. He is excellent. Approachable, caring, knowledgeable, positive and reassuring. I feel fortunate to have been placed in his care. I am mainly writing to refute something that was written about his receptionist, Anya. Someone has previously written some terrible things about her, and I can honestly say in the dozen or so time’s I’ve been to the Bathurst Street office, I have never seen Anya be ANYTHING but kind, patient and positive. I have also had to deal with her in the phone several times for prescriptions and/or appointment changes, and she has ALWAYS been extremely accommodating and reasonable. Perhaps she was having an “off” day on September 19, but I’ve yet to EVER see her be the least bit rude, negative or “argumentative” as the unhappy reviewer called her. Just sayin’
