Dr. Overgaard did Angiogram and Anjioplasty for my husband . He is an amazing personable and talented man. Now I am waiting to get a date for my Angiogram and Anjioplasty if required and I would not think twice about having him operating on me !!! My family found him very easy to communicate with him when my husband's procedure was done more than a month ago. He explained everything thoroughly. The team at Southlake all are also amazing, helpful, Cooperative and very polite. Thanks to Dr. Chris Overgaard and every member of Southlake Hospial team. Hope I also get a date for my procedure very soon and I will be able to meet Dr. Overgaard and to see his professioal expertise which will be done on me. A very knowledgeable Doctor and professional. I have been under Dr. Christopher Overgaard's care for the past 4 years when other Cardiologists discharged me from care and tried to convince me that my symptoms were not Cardiac related when my Angiogram showed 40 % stenosis in two main coronary arteries but were classified as Non Obstructive CAD or Mild stenosis. I am a Health Care provider specialized in Cardiology with a very strong Family Hx of Heart Attacks, High Blood Pressure , Diabetes Mellitus and strokes . I am hypertensive and have high cholesterol since I turned 40, the age when I was in need to initiate treatment with medications and Dr. Overgaard diagnosed me accordingly with two possible cause of atypical chest pain of was suffering from.
1- Microvascular Angina (very common in women and misdiagnosed caused by obstruction of very tiny vessel of the heart) or 2- Prinzmetal Angina (a spams of coronary arteries due to stress or very cold temperatures in the early morning and other factors ) then he took me under his wings and has managed my symptoms and health since. I a now in a better shape (less symptoms), I can perform my activities even under stressful episodes at work with no chest pain and most importantly, he listens carefully to me as a patient and that is PRICELESS! I thank him forever and from the bottom of my heart for providing equally optimal care not only to me, but to every patient he sees everyday at his clinic and at the hospital.
Cardiac related conditions in women has been underestimated by Cardiologists for decades, we have been blessed that Dr. Christopher Overgaard exists in many patients' lives and still practices preventive Cardiology which many Doctors and specialists lack of now days when practicing medicine.
