Dr Damper has been very helpful in managing both my pain and that of my husband. I very highly recommend him. He has great communication skills and deeply cares about his patients.

Dr. Damper is very knowledgeable , kind and professional. I have been going to TOI for several years now and have been seen by two other Doctors. I came in this afternoon for an EMG, I was feeling uneasy and Dr Damper made me feel at ease. He explained the procedure and helped me to relax. I hope to see him again!

I found Dr Damper to be extremely kind and knowledgeable. After living with pain for years, he's confident I can get better. He's not cocky but very confident in his practice. I can't wait to continue my care with him.

I found the doctor rude. He did not read my previous medical records nor take the time to listen to my concerns. I was very disappointed after waiting months to get in with him and hoping for some spine relief. He is very handsome. Too bad his personality and bedside manner did not match. I hope I caught him on a bad day, but I have never experienced such treatment at TOI. I was pretty shocked and disappointed.

It was a pleasure to meet Dr. Damper earlier this year. My PCP recommended him after other patients of his found him to be very helpful with their problems. That was my experience also. Dr. Damper was very pleasant and very professional each time I saw him. I had a pain issue that had plagued me for years and had only partly been remedied by other specialists I had been sent to. Dr. Damper diagnosed a situation, sent me for appropriate tests to confirm his diagnoses and treated the problem. No one else had ever treated that area, only areas surrounding it. For the first time in many years I have relief from the constant pain and limitations that resulted from it. I feel as though I have a new lease on life. Dr. Damper is considerably younger than I am and because I have had a lifelong speech impediment I picked up on the fact that he does also. It in no way affected his care or treatment of me, but it was interesting to talk with him about our shared situation. I recommend him highly.

I have had pain in my back for over 20 years. My back has been prodded, poked, cut into and replaced with metal parts. I have lived with pain and thought that was the way it was going to be for me for the rest of my life. When I meet Dr Damper (in GA) a couple of years ago, I thought that he was just one of many that thought they could just talk me into tests I didn't need and promises they couldn't keep. He was quite the opposite. He told me that he would try to help me cope with and deal with my pain with me. He didn't say that he could take it all away, or make it all better. What he said was that he could make it manageable for me to live a full and active life. But most of all he said we would obtain this level together. He took the time to listen and never pushed or bullied me into anything I didn't feel comfortable doing. I had the answer to my prayers. A doctor that cared. Thank you Dr. Damper for being, well for being the best doctor I have ever met.

This is a follow-up to my previous rating (3/22/14). Following my appointment, Dr. Damper called me and apologized for the way my appointment went. I have to admit, I was extremely impressed by that. He has since contacted me several times to get more information from me and let me know that he would like to move forward with my treatment. He is really trying hard to make amends and I commend him greatly for that. I haven't decided yet how I'm going to proceed, but I did want to acknowledge and show my great appreciation for Dr. Damper's apology and his outstanding efforts since my first review to figure out what is causing my pain and work towards alleviating it. He has even offered to see me before normal office hours or during his lunch break to ensure that he could give me extra time.

My visits with Dr. Damper were, far and away, my WORST experiences with any medical professional. I would have ditched him after the first visit, but I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt that maybe we was just having a bad day. He was over an hour late for each appointment and then couldn't get out of the room fast enough when he was with me. He didn't actually listen to me when I was telling me my problems, and claimed that the source of my pain was a condition which he didn't even test me for and that I have tested negative for FIVE TIMES from other doctors. In my latest visit, he was trying to back out of the room after only 10 minutes. Not long after that he just turned and rushed out the door without even so much as a good bye. My latest appointment was the last straw, and I wouldn't let him treat me if I had just been hit by a train. A well-intentioned boy scout would be more helpful with a serious medical problem than Dr. Damper.
