I saw him last year for a back problem and he was very nice. He came in and listen to my concerns, then he sent me in for an x-ray right away, and also prescribed me pain meds. Within a few days I got a call from his office regarding my x-ray results. I only saw him once but he made a good impression on me. A dr. is a dr. not supposed to be your best friend. I don't have any complains abot Dr. Filner.

Dr. Filner is the best doctor i have ever been to. He knows what he is talking about.and he knows what he is doing. i think these bad ratings here that i have read today, are written by those who have only PERSONAL reasons for dissing him. and we who know Doc, know he is not this way at all

Liked him. A little short with me sometimes. Did not like confrontation of medication of good pills/bad pills I presented to him from the internet

i had been waiting on a very important lab test which he told me would only take 2-5 days, i called his office probably 3 times this week, not being rude to the staff and dr. filner gets on the phone and blasts me out saying i was abusing the staff by calling about my lab results, that i was harrassing them and being rude. I was none of those things. I will NEVER go back and see him again and i dont recommed anyone see him either. He was extremely rude and unprofessional with me. No doctor has any right to ever talk to a patient the way he talked to me!!!!!!

Dr. Filner is a good doctor if you want to be treated. If you're looking for a friend or someone to chat with he is not. He's about diagnosing and treating. Staff is same way.Found him to be very knowledgable. Would highly recomend. This is a no frills doctors office. Was in and out very quick. This is how all doctors should work. If you want a friend get a dog. If you are looking for a doctor he's the guy!

Initially, I considered Dr Filner as one of the most efficient family practice doctors I've ever had. Lately his efficiency has slipped. I'm tired of always having to call him about unfilled prescriptions and then finding out I have to come in for another checkup. He appears to be overscheduling in order to increase his income. At least that is my opinion. I'm considering another doctor.

My family has been going to Dr Filner since we moved to Arizona. In the past I've found him to be rude at times but extremely knowledgeable. An even trade I felt. However the last few visits made me rethink using Dr Filner as our family Physician. The nurse (different nurse then before) who takes the blood pressure ect. Extremely RUDE! Dr Filner himself has become obsessed with what insurance company a person has. He told me he could only answer questions on what I was specifically there for and if I wanted to discuss anything else I would have to make another appointment. He barely looked at me and quickly dismissed me with out giving me any real answers to anything. I don't know or understand the reasons for this change but certainly don't like the "new" way of being treated.

I found Dr Filner to be arrogrant, rude and some of the things he said to me didn't make any sense at all. He appeared not to believe what I was telling him. He lectured me which I found to be totally inappropriate. He decided I needed to have the necessary routine screenings which I would never let that man touch me. It was a total horrific experience and I would never recommend the man. He totally misdiagnosed me and that I found to be very scarey. What he diagnosed I certainly didn't have and the medication he prescribed I really didn't need as what I had been taking was working.

dirty office, rude staff, excessive wait (while he chatted with a drug rep right in the lobby!). "dr." filner was one of those power tripping guys...always cutting me off, and answering the questions he asked me himself. i'm an emergency room rn w/ 25 years experience, and he struck me as needing detox, or something. the one topic he discussed in depth...how useless my medicare insurance is, and that he would not reschedule me until i "got real insurance".

Dr. Filner is a rude Dr. who would rather argue with you then help you he is a cocky know-it-all. I was trying to get on a prescription I had previously been on and he wouldnt prescribe it. He was very demeaning. He began to get real angry when I was telling him other meds I had tried for my problem hadnt worked thats why I wanted the original rx not what he wanted me to try I eventually told him that I was going to leave, he said "fine leave" i calmly opened the door and walked out he walked out right behind me I had takin a picture of him he had on the counter and layed it face down. when we got to the waiting room he yelled with his face 3 to 4 inches from my face in front of his employees and patients waiting to be seen "you wanna act like a little kid when you dont get your way cause I wont give you the drugs you want, you can leave" I responded "I am trying to leave" then he yelled "you wanna get physical with me?" --cant type the rest limit is 1000 charecters--
