Biography

I am a board-certified gastroenterologist practicing in Easton for last 10 years. I joined St. Luke’s University Health Network in 2011. My goal is to provide excellent, comprehensive patient care, focused on individual care and need. My practice is dedicated to the treatment of GERD, colon polyps, irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis and pancreato biliary disorder. I perform all endoscopic procedures including EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) with fine needle aspiration (FNA) and video capsule endoscopy. I also do minimal invasive endoscopic anti reflux surgery including TIF (transoral incisionless fundoplication). For the last four years, my clinical practice and research focused on GERD and all newer therapeutic treatment options. I was also part of the team that started the Heartburn Center at Easton Hospital, now part of St Luke University Heath Network. I am co- investigator for the TIF prospective registry trial which is a multi-center study in collaboration with John Hopkin University as well as a number of other studies. I have published several abstracts, oral presentations and papers, and am currently a member of ACG (American College of Gastroenterology), AGA (American Gastroenterology Association) and ASGE (American Society of gastrointestinal endoscopy). I received my medical degree from B.J. Medical College in Ahmedabad, India in 2000, and then completed my internal medicine residency at Montefiore Medical Center in New York. I also did my gastroenterology fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center from 2008 to 2011. I am living in Nazareth, Pennsylvania with my wife and two children. My hobbies include playing various sports such as volleyball, tennis and running. I am also interested in travelling and reading.
