Had to wait an Hour and 15 Minutes to be seen on my first Visit. Staff is rude and unconcerned with patients. After waiting over an hour on second Visit i walked out. Will not go back. Dr Scherl himself seemed competent but disinterested. It is disrespectful and uncaring to have Patients wait that long. If there is an Emergency or Dr is delayed once I can understand. But every time? Look elsewhere or be prepared to spend your day at the Office.

Dr scherl is a participating dr in my network.... after paying my co pay he balace billed me for use of his tool he uses to look into your ears nose and throat ...what is next ...balance billing me for use of his chair or the toilet in his bathroom...what makes the whole thing even worse is that he was rude when i saw him and under treated me....my pharmacist said he yelled at him on the phone ....time to retire when you obviously dislike your job

Is this guy serious?
I waited ONE HOUR AND TWENTY MINUTES for Sir Lancelot to show up...is that reasonable?
I went there complaining of a persistent cough, and fatigue, and he didn't even take my temperature, nor did he check my neck for swollen glands,(he merely ASKED me, "do I have swollen glands?") He then took a guess as to what my malady was and called in a prescription to my pharmacist, which I will be returning unopened...and another for an antibiotic which he said to take 2 days later if the symptoms persist or worsen... Riddle me this doc,..why prescribe me an ANTIBIOTIC when you said more than twice that you felt it to be something VIRAL due to the fever and malaise? You do know that treating a virus with an antibiotic not only SLOWS the healing process, but weakens the immune system,..so did you give me this so that this hell would drag on and you would get another billable visit?.. also he seemed way more interested in my sinus polyps and touting the removal of them "right there in his office using a snare"... again drumming up more billable hours but what about the issue at hand doc?
I'll be calling the billing department for a full refund of my copay.

Dr. Scherl used to be a great doctor. However, I went in to see him for a throat issue. He was very condescending and insulting. He's just not that good guy who took out both my daughters tonsils 20 years ago and who fixed a really dangerous issue for my mom and he was terrific. What happened Dr. Scherl? His office staff are very rude and downright nasty. My family will never go to him again. Dr. Lee, however, is very nice and polite. Too bad he's a partner with Dr. Scherl.

Avoid this guy. He is dangerous. He caused me days of unnecessary pain and discomfort. I had a bleed in my nose that wouldn't stop. I went to the hospital and they called him many times, but he refused to come. I went to him the next day at his office, and he stuck 2 paddles up my nose all the way to the back of my throat, which caused me pain for 3 days, until I went to another doctor who solved the original problem in a few minutes by cauterizing small bleed. Scherl was also busy selling me on surgery in my nose because it was causing the problem, which as false. Stay away fro your safety. I think the good reviews above were made up by him, I can't believe he treated any patients so well.

Dr. Michael P. Scherl was very condescending. also has no idea i was a RETURNING patient, they did not have my file. after i left the first visit they literally threw my file out claiming i wasn't "serious". wouldn't prescribe prescription that i needed and made a very offensive remark thereafter stating that he didn't believe the prescription request was legitimate.. the guy's your typical jerk from NJ. the girl at the front desk gives a nasty attitude as well. do not go here. this is the place old folks go to, and the staff and Scherl think they can get away with it.

Recommended much more extreme and unecessary solutions than needed. Didn't listen to what I had to say regarding my issue. Seemed to just want to push medication and a possible future procedure instead of getting to the real root of the issue.

Dr. Scherl has been helpful, polite and informative every time that I have visited his office. He was recommended to me several years ago, and I never went to a different doctor since I first visited his office.
