This guys is a clown. First the Westwood office is gross and needs to be renovated. I went in once with a clogged ear and he told me nothing was wrong. When I insisted something was wrong he then punctured my ear drum to let the pressure out and see if there was something going on and he was like whoa, you were right, fluid gushed out. He had me going for biopsies all the time because I have growths in my right sinus and then all of a sudden one day he was like yeah, no more biopsies, come in if you feel something is wrong. What?!?

This is one of the worst offices we have been to. Dr Sherl will give anyone a hearing aid with no interest in getting the most appropriate one for the patient. Addionally his audiologist fits you with a hearing and when asked for a test to view what the improve not was I was told the machine was not working properly! We left without a test which could show what if any improvements my hearing!!! One month later and the machine still was not fixed. Incompetence all around. We suggest you go elsewhere!

I had my deviated septum "fixed" 11 years ago. During the surgery the corner of my eye was nicked and there was a fear my tear duct was cut. On a follow up when I let the doctor know I was still not breathing well he said "I guess I could have done more". I just went to another ENT for an unrelated problem and asked him to look at my nose and he said "are you sure you got your deviated septum fixed? You haven a severly deviated septum." Avoid this doctor.

He removed my 11 year old daughter's tonsils at the Surgy Center in Ridgewood, dismissed her shortly after and by time I got home, she had blood gushing out of her mouth. I had to drive 1/2 hour to Englewood Hospital instead of Valley which is only 10 minutes because he was at home in Englewood area. My daughter was then brought back into surgery because a blood vessel was nicked! Needless to say that was a terrible experience!

Dr. Scherl examined my 15 yr. old daughter's throat today because she had some voice concerns. Dr. Scherl asked her many questions, was informative, professional and answered all of our questions. The equipment he used was sterilized in my presence. He said he would forward a note to my daughter's primary doctor without us asking him to do so. I feel he was pleasant and comforting. Haig

Not helpful at all! He shouldn't be allowed to practice medicine! Very incompetent and arrogant. He acted like knew everything and I had no idea what I was talking about. I left very upset! AVOID this place!

A complete incompetent that tried to make more money from a simple problem. My nose wouldn't stop bleeding. He refused to come to the hospital when the Emergency room doctor called him 4 times and he was on duty. They were furious with him. He caused me great pain in his office the next day inserting solid sponges in my nose which remained for days. I went to a different doctor who fixed me up in 10 minutes painlessly by cauterizing the bleeding. I should have sued him. I made a complaint to the hospital.

Horrible, He missed the obvious, I had bronchitis, I couldn’t breath, I felt sick – he told me I was fine – I hope he caught it!
