I was blessed and am very thankful to have Dr. Lesiuk as my Neurosurgeon. He is the BEST! He is extremely knowledgeable and explained the details of my brain surgery and the risks in a calm and confident manner. Having brain surgery was scary and then when I got an infection which could have meant a second surgery, Dr. Lesiuk completed a quick assessment and determined it could be resolved by fighting it by using heavy medication which was brilliant. He and his team were exceptional. I highly recommend him without any hesitation.

Maybe I havent had the time to actually see some miracles happen yet, but I'm not quite impress. Yes he did take in consideration my problems and decided to take fast action to figure out what wrong, but he is not really reliable. I was seen by 3 neuro so far, and he is the first that had canceled my appointment and rescheduled, 4 times! I really wish that he can make miracles because I am very discouraged.

Dr. Howard Lesiuk in my opinion should be rated the #1 neurosurgeon. He's been my doctor for around 15 years... Every time I have a problem with my shunt he always fixes the issue.

There was one time that I was experiencing pressure in my head but when I got to the hospital Dr. Lesiuk was outside of Ottawa at a seminar and the attending couldn't figure out the problem.

Thank goodness I got admitted that night. The nurses on the 7th floor know that when I say I'm in pain that I'm not faking it so they would give me the appropriate narcotics to ease the pain. But what shocked me (but in all sense it makes sense cuz that's just the type of doctor that he is...)

The night he got back to Ottawa, he came to the hospital around 9pm or so and came to see me to fix my programmable shunt valve which stopped my headache.

He is the absolute best. I wish human cloning was possible cuz I would replicate him for when he has to retire.

Dr Lesiuk is truly the best. He saved my life and I could be more grateful. I had two ruptured brain aneurysms and a 30 percent chance of survival. He and his team did not give up on me and for this I will always be indebted to them. I wish him the very best and feel so fortunate that he was there to help me at my darkest hour. He gave me my life back, I had a grade1 tumor in my 3rd ventricle, I also had hydrocephalus my ventricles were 3x their normal size. I also developed post surgical meningitis that complicated everything. Had a second surgery to install a shunt. So thankful for this man.

Dr Lesiuk and his team gave me my life back. I suffer from Idiopathic Intracranial hypertension. On December 18th 2020 Dr Lesiuk and his team inserted a vp shunt. I was terrified of brain surgery. Dr Lesiuk was so calm and reassured me they would take good care of me. I asked if I could listen to a Christmas song while going under anesthetisia and they granted my request. I continue to follow up with my neuro team. I am so grateful to have them.

Dr. Lesiuk is a very talented Neurosurgeon. His clam demeanor is very comforting when you have just been diagnosed with a brain tumor. His skill level is beyond compare and his bedside manor is very calm and comfortable. He is not in a rush nor is he arrogant. He exudes confidence in a very low key manner. Recommend him for this very serious surgery without hesitation.
