Dr. Chi saved my life! He was so calm, caring, compassionate to my entire family and I. He gave me hope when no one else did and did it so effortlessly! He performed a 10 hour surgery on me for Ovarian Cancer and was a great teacher to educate my family and I on my condition and why others were hesitant to do the same surgery. He is a genius and a master surgeon and I would hesitate to go to anyone else for future surgeries. In fact, I hope he does not retire during my lifetime! I am in awe of his knowledge, skill and his interpersonal mannerism with his patients. Truly ONE OF A KIND! A 10/10, a ROCKSTAR!

I was a patient of Dr. Chi's for many years. I would never have considered having any doctor but him remove my ovaries . This turned out to be one of my biggest mistakes. My life has been drastically changed due to the many complications of the surgery. I was sent home to bleed out and when I called several times with my concerns, I was told they were all normal and to relax. It wasn't until a resident called and said to return to the hospital as she reviewed my calls and the day's notes and felt I was bleeding out. I returned to the hospital and received several blood transfusions. It has been several years since the surgery and I still suffer from nerve damage which has lead to a lot of pain and bladder and bowel problems.
I am grateful I no longer require a catheter to urinate and no longer wear depends from bowel mess. It took a few years of pelvic floor therapy to regain almost full function.
I, like so many patients of Dr. Chi thought he was the best. I was so mistaken. Dr. Chi cares about Dr. Chi and his persona and the reputation of the hospital Please consider going to any other hospital and oncologist than Dr. Chi and Sloan Kettering. I am amazed their reputation stays untarnished. I personally know many other patients that had similar if not more severe consequences than I did in the care of Sloan Kettering.

Seems like Dr. Chi hasn't changed since the review from 11/10; still not around if you have post surgical infections or pain. Which characterize his surgeries. Treats people like things he has to deal with to maintain his celebrity-in-his-own-mind status. Run, really, run away from this guy. Too many good surgeons in NY to have to deal with his hack jobs. Calling Dr. Blank . . .

It was the grace of God that led me to Dr. Dennis Chi, MD.

I had been told by my gynecologist that my biopsy came back positive for cancer. She had recommended me to another doctor which I had called and was waiting for his call back. In the meantime, I did my own research and came across Dr. Dennis Chi I read his impressive bio and actually read patient reviews. I was convinced that he would be the doctor I should see. I then called my general practitioner to get another opinion. He told me he would only recommend Dr. Dennis Chi. Not only was I elated, but I knew he would be the right doctor for my surgery. Needless to say, when I was finally called by the other doctor, I simply stated I had made other arrangements.
When I first met Dr. Chi, I felt like I was meeting a celebrity! To be in the presence of a Dr. who has dedicated his life to gynecological cancer, with all his knowledge, expertise, published book on Ovarian Cancer, journals and numerous achievements in the field, I felt at ease. He was very kind to me and I felt his confidence resonating throughout the room. Dr. Chi answered all my questions, was very patient and explained things to me in detail. I can not speak more highly of Chi and I am in awe of his expertise his talent and his overall mannerism. When something like cancer hits you need the best doctor there is and that is Dr. Dennis Chi. I did get a diagnosis of cancer and it gives me the chance to possibly save a life by recommending Dr. Chi. God gives us what we are supposed to have, nothing more, nothing less or nothing we can't handle. Cancer is difficult to handle and you will need the best doctor out there. I have just had surgery and am doing fine. I feel that this is all due to Dr. Chi. I urge everyone to seek out Dr. Chi if ever there is a diagnosis of cancer. Life is precious and you deserve the best! I am so thankful to Dr. Chi.

Dr. Dennis Chi is a skillful, diligent, thorough, confident and caring surgeon. He clearly explained everything and coordinated other surgical specialists as well as the oncologist. He looked into my eyes and told he could help me and he did! This is the surgeon you want to lead your medical team to fight this awful disease. He is the tumor terminator!

Dr. Chi was amazing. I was terrified after receiving my cancer diagnosis but he was reassuring and took great lengths to explain the surgery and prognosis to me. As it turns out, other cancers were found and he arranged for coordinated surgeries. He and his staff were wonderful throughout the whole process.My prognosis is excellent and everything about my experience with this doctor and MSK Hospital was very positive. I would recommend him to anyone with a gynecological cancer. He truly cares about his patients.

Did amazing surgery on me. Does try hard to do the right thing for his patients. He does overpromise regarding how much he'll round, that he'll call etc., he only saw me for once for 10 minutes for my whole 8 day stay and I can infections and pain.

Dr. Chi is a very compassionate, knowledgeable doctor. I went for three medical opinions and knew after consulting with him, he was the right doctor for my surgery. He made me feel confident that I would be alright. He explained everything about my procedure and answered all my questions.
