For the most part, Dr Miller has brushed off the issues I've brought up at my appointments. She gives the impression that she does not care.

What really upset me is, the last time I went to see her about 2 months ago, I had been on [what seemed to be] my period for over 3 weeks. Without asking any questions, she prescribed one month of the birth control pill just to "stop the bleeding" as she said. I told her I was trying to get pregnant but that didn't seem to matter. 2 days ago I went to the hospital with intense pelvic pains and it turns out that I had a ectopic pregnancy. This is life threatening so I had to have emergency surgery and have one of my Fallopian tubes removed.

Had Dr Miller not had been so careless, this could have been caught a while ago and I would still have both my tubes. I would not be off work for 4-6 weeks, not to mention that now I have to wait 4-6 months before trying to get pregnant again. I'm 36 and my fertility window is slowly closing.

It goes without saying that I'm pretty upset with the way she practices medicine and I would NOT recommend her.

I've had a few issues with her and her staff:

1. The staff forgot to fax my referral over. I was supposed to start going to my Obgyn after 18 weeks or whatever week it is when you stop seeing your GP but instead of looking into it, she just said that they were probably busy to take me. It was only when I was at the Obgyn the doctor commented on the date of the referral. It was then I realized the staff forgot to fax it. Dr. Miller didn't take the time to look into until I asked for the 4th time. She should have looked into it the first or second time, imho.

2. I had blood work done while pregnant. I asked her if everything was fine and she said everything came back fine. That was a lie. She either didn't read my chart or if she did she forgot that I had a very concerning blood work results that would affect the baby and myself. I would expect (if she read the results) that I would get a phone call to come in right away to do follow up blood work. She waited until my next appointment and even then *I* had to ask her about the results just before she was ending our appointment. I discovered the issues with my blood work at my obgyn. She was shocked I was just discovering this and didn't understand why Dr. Miller didn't say anything. The obgyn did multiple follow up blood work and in the end nothing was wrong.

3. My child was born with an infection (or so they thought) and jaundice. She was treated for a week at the hospital. A week later, I went to Dr. Miller for a follow-up and commented on how my child wasn't feeding well and her jaundice wasn't going away. I commented on how she was sleeping quite a bit and she was making strange noises at night. I was concerned by the feeding, jaundice and the extreme amounts of sleep. I knew something wasn't right. What did Dr. Millar do? Nothing. She made a feabile attempt to wake her up to check her eyes (see if they were dilated versus not), didn't undress or check her body to see how her colouring was elsewhere nor did she check her heart rate or pulse. She said it was probably breastfeeding jaundice and that she'd get better soon. Her lack of concern in my child made me leave her office and go straght to CHEO where she ended up spending four months.

Three big strikes (and this is not including some minor annoyances we also had to deal with)! I need a helpful, attentive doctor I can trust so my family left her practice and moved to another doctor.

Dr. Miller has been my family physician for a few years now. I have had nothing but pleasant experiences with her and she listens to me when I tell her something doesn't work for me medication wise. I got sent in for allergy tests and people had told me the wait would be a good 6 months. Had to only wait 2 before I got a letter with my appointment date. She just referred me in August of this year to a gall bladder specialist to have my gb taken out and I go in to see him next week. I had gotten an infection so she made sure I was priority as it is the kind that will continue coming back until I have my gb taken out.
I called on Friday to get my son in to be seen and he goes tomorrow. Very impressed all the way round.

Went for tests and was told everything was fine. Turns out it was not and ended up with quite an issue to deal with. This happened on 3 occasions. I even was told there was nothing on a mammogram when in fact the X-ray clinic had asked for me to come back for more tests. Can she read lab results ?

Dr Miller has been my GP for five years. I am very satisfied with her knowledge, intelligence and helpfulness. I have not had any major problems in that time, but several things that needed attention and follow up and she has been very thorough and diligent. She is reserved but totally dedicated to what she does.

Not impressed. One of my family member finally has had enough and left. I am ready to follow suit. A specialist brought a condition of mine to her attention and all she could do was smirk and make fun as if this other doctor was incompetent. A couple of years later, and now that it has developed in something more serious, she appears to be trying to cover her tracks. She doesn't explain what options her patients have and doesn't seem to like her job. She sent me to a specialist but i have the distinct impression she did not tell him the real reason for the reference. At least she is on time. Maybe because people are leaving?

I have had Dr. Miller for about 3-4 years now as my primary physician. I have found her to be very professional, supportive, intelligent, kind and overall a very good Dr. She speaks out when she feels things are not right, yet has been my advocate totally through a very long and complex illness. She has been willing to go to any lengths to get me the help I have needed. I have grown to have tremendous respect for her over the past few years. She is still young and learning, but is also humble and willing to listen...I feel very lucky to have her as my GP, and I am an RN...so have known several Doctors over the years.!

The staff has always been friendly and helpful. Appointments are made without difficulty and Dr. Miller is prompt (in fact several times has taken me in when I arrived early.) She listens well and is supportive to mine and my husbands needs. No, she is not an extravert but she is kind and friendly. Both my husband and I have had a bad year health wise and I feel fortunate to have Dr. Miller as my doctor.
