worst experience I`ve had!!!spent MY time on the speaker phone with another dr`s resident discussing NOT me but another patient !!Made several assumptions & suggestions on my condition but did little if any examination. No questions were asked as she was on the phone. Not only did I waste my DAY I was made to feel that I was wasting hers..I hope the lady after me did not hear this doctor discuss my condition as I did Mrs X..

I saw this dr in December and as a result had several tests ran. After a few calls to her office this spring to get the results and to see if it warranted a followup with her, I have yet to hear back from her. I finally had to go to my gp to get the results. Very disappointing to say the least!!

I have been seeing Dr Markland for many years with lupus diagnosis. Once she realized I was not trying to take advantage of system to be off work, that I was for real, she was also. Phones me @ home if tests done are showing alarming numbers, calls me back anytime I have wanted to talk with her. Once you built your relationship with her, I have zero complaints, she is a wonderful dr., makes me sad to see such negative remarks about her. She is a very good, kind dr. Don't think she tolerates whining very well. But if you are honest with her, she takes her time & will listen to you. Any questions I have ever had, she has answered very knowledgeably. Her asst. Brenda is also awesome, any time I have called, Brenda makes sure Dr Markland gets message, calls always returned. Thank you so much Dr. Markland, & I apologize for all I have read, it is not accurate.

I took my Mother to see this doctor and almost had to grab her by the coat sleeve to keep her from backing out of the room before I asked any questions. She handed my Mother a printout on Osteoarthritis and told her to look up the website for more info. I even had to ask if there might be some kind of medication for my Mom's pain as she has so much pain in the mornings that she cannot get out of bed without help. She continued to back out the door and said she would leave a prescription at the desk. She told us nothing about the drug, and gave us absolutely no time to ask further questions about the diagnosis or the prescription. We already knew my mom had arthritis, we needed help in dealing with it and got none from Dr. Markland. A total waste of our time.

I saw Dr.Markland only once which was once to many times. She was very late .waited more than two hours then was placed in a rather grimy looking room with a very dirty looking crumpled sheet on the examining table.I wondered whatI could catch from it.I was in agony as i was very arthritic. She came close enough to barely touch my big toe no examination of any kind. That was the most wasted day of my whole life. She should not be allowed to practise at all.

I have been seeing Dr. Markland twice a year for 14 years now. Since I was diagnosed with Lupus. Although on my initial visit I was not impressed I continued to go and realized I was the one with the problem not her. My biggest obstacle was facing the fact that I had Lupus and I needed to accept it. Once I accepted this, Dr. Markland and I have been working as a team to keep this awful disease in check. I think she is an excellent doctor and I know she makes sure to keep in touch with my G.P. in regards to my health issues. So they work as a team as well. If other people have a problem with her its not because she doesn't know her stuff its just a personal clash thats all. Not all Drs.have great bedside manners and that doesn't mean they aren't good. She is very caring. When my kidneys acted up and I had to spend time in the hospital she took time out from her social life very late one night(and we all need a social life) to come in and see me rather than just phone. She is very good.

I was scared stiff when I read the other comments, however, I did not have this experience. My appt was ahead of time. I thought Dr. Markland was very thorough, pleasant and scheduled me for followup appt and more bloodwork.

And she actually went to Medical School? Wow! She was very abrupt, almost rude. Don't want to go back to her again.

I was referred to this doc by my GP. She totally misdiagnosed me and was extremely rude in the process. Wow as an adult I have never felt that as belittled as I was when I was in her cubby hole she called an exam room. Very poor excuse for a "specialist"
