Dr. Weatherhead injected filler into my cheeks and temples. A number of years later, hyperpigmentation occurred in these areas. Another cosmetic dermatologist informed me that the hyperpigmentation was due to the filler being injected too superficially. I later found out this hyperpigmentation is known as the Tyndall Effect Dr. Weatherhead obviously did not have the experience to be doing this procedure (injecting fillers). Have you experienced this? I can't be the only one...
Has anyone else experienced this? I can't be the only one...

Dr. Weatherhead injected filler into my cheeks and temples about 23 or so yrs ago. Many years later, a purplish coloured hyperpigmentation occurred in the areas where the filler was injected. I was informed by another dermatologist that this discoloration was caused by the injections placed too superficially into the skin. It seems to me that, Dr. Weatherhead did not have the knowledge/experience to do injections properly. I have done a lot of reading concerning this 'Tyndall Effect'. Over the years, I have spent a lot of money and professional treatments trying to get rid of or at least fade the hyperpigmentaton. I now know that it is permanent.
Have any other of his patients experienced the same thing?

I find this office to be very professional. Dr. Weatherhead and his staff are very friendly and welcoming. I am very pleased with a cyst removal at my eyebrow it has healed nicely. Thank you

Saved my life. I had breast cancer, treated with surgery and radiation, Developed a rash which I asked my oncologist about. Was told that it was not cancer and referred me to the dermatologist at the cancer centre, Dr. Weatherhead, who saw me with his team of residents and students.After examining me, he said it looked like my cancer had come back and did a biopsy, which confirmed the diagnosis.He was very kind and sympathetic to me. This was shocking news to me as I had been told it was not cancer before. I saw the surgeon who went over the treatment which was removal of the breast, followed by radiation and chemotherapy. I asked if the breast had to be removed and was told that any recurrence in a breast which had cancer before and radiation had to be removed. Fortunately, the spread was picked up relatively early so my chances were good. I an now a few years post and doing well. So thanks to Dr. Weatherhead for that. I am still being followed at the cancer clinic. Dr, Weatherhead has left the clinic, and the staff there say he is really missed. I have a lot of gratitude to him and his staff.

I was a patient of Dr. Weatherhead for about 15 years. Saw him annually because of a previous skin cancer (melanoma) I had in my 20’es. He was always very kind and seemed very knowledgeable. After I was diagnosed with breast cancer 11 years ago I developed a red “bump” on my scar. I brought this to his attention but He brushed me off saying it’s nothing. The “bump” started growing and I brought it to his attention again at my next visit and several more times after that. He kept saying it’s nothing, probably just scar tissue. Well, this “scar tissue” turned out to be a recurring Brest cancer. I lost my breast because of his negligence. If he would have payed attention to my concerns, as a doctor should, and would have interfered when I brought it to his attention at the first time I probably wouldn’t be in this situation I am now. For a knowledgeable, experienced dermatologist as he is he should have done more. As much as I liked him at the beginning I would never recommend him to anyone.

My dermatologist sent me to Dr. W for a cyst removal on my face, saying that in his opinion, Dr. W would do the nicest job. I have to agree! A few months later, the scar left by the stitches was practically invisible. I’m very happy with the result. I would definitely trust him with my face again.
