Have been a patient of his for several years and put up with waitng for over an hour to see him. He would often just ignore my concerns without comment and it wasn't until I eneded up in emerg. did I get any proper treatment and aftercare through another doctor. He likes to send in his interns who take detailed notes and then igonores what what was said. It seems that if he likes you things happen and if he doesn't its going to be an uphill battle to get anything done. I had to book my own follow-up appointments. Healthcare should not be this difficult.

I am grateful to have been referred to Dr. Niznick. There is a good reason why he has such a large practice - he is an excellent cardiologist. People need to realize that behind the occasionally gruff exterior, there is a compassionate person.

I think Dr. Niznick is awful. The way he treated my husband is shameful. He simply did not want to treat him. My husband was over 85 and from what he told us he had a good life so that is it. Maybe he wants to treat only young patient who have cardiac problems

I think this Dr Niznick is a horrable dr.My father has had a bad heart for sometime now,and needs pacemaker so the hospital says. So what dose dr niznick say to this ,Oh no he does not need that ,so we go on holiday. He lands in hospital again.Doctors their shake heads,cant belive whats going on,why hasnt his doctor,dr niznick been taking care of him? Now my father is home, we are to do follow-up,we do that and now he is back in hospital.I have been with my father in hospital many times and still to this day have never seen dr niznick or talked to him. Where are you Dr Niznick? Do you even care about people? Why did you become a doctor?

I THANK GOD every day for DR NIZNICK. HE TOOK ME OFF AMIODARONE,WARFIN AND BETA BLOCKERS He saved me. One of his collelgues who worked out of his office was in Emerg at the ottawa General and had put me on Amiodarone. Warfin and Beta blockers. I will write up something under that Doctor who was Dr Dawdy the person who made my life miserable. Again, thank you Dr Niznick for being kind, understanding and MOST OF ALL CARING.

We went to see dr. Niznick after my dad had a pacemaker put in. He was my dad's cardiologist for 7 years and we found that he never paid enough attention to dad's condition. He let dad go for 2 years without a follow up after by-pass. Now after cardiac arrest and pacemaker, we went for follow up on wednesday, dad told him about his racing heart rate and dr Niznick told him very abruptly to live with it. There was no concern from his point of view and 2 days later dad went into cardiac arrest again. Thank god for pacemaker, but it is very painful and could be prevented if it was picked up on time. On top of that, we had to wait 2 hours to be seen by dr.niznick. We are very frustrated with his care and will be changing him to a different cardiologist.

I find he is very abrupt, and unwilling to discuss options. For example, another doctor recommended a medication but because it could have an effect on the heart she wanted me to discuss it with my cardiologist. Dr. Niznick gave me a flat "no" without any discussion of risks, etc.

I find Dr. Niznick very knnwledgable and helpful. He gets right to the point, but I always feel I have left his office knowing everything I need to know. Wonderful doctor.
