Very pleased with the care my husband received here. Kudos to the chef and all food service workers. If I have one recommendation, it would be to automate the call light system to make naps & night time sleep less noisy. Room108-A

Just wanted to take a moment to express my most sincere Thank you for the incredible professionalism, care, expertise, compassion and genuine awesomeness that was displayed during my wife's stay at Kindred Hospital Sahara without which she would not be doing nearly as well as she is!! As you know she suffered a spontaneous subdural hematoma on 10/10/2017 with a dire prognosis of survival or long term recovery. She was on a ventilator for two weeks and then transferred to Kindred with a tracheostomy and heavy oxygen. The respiratory team(Jay,Christy,Jen etc) went into action and was able to get her off the track. All this time up till her eventual release 2 months later the nursing staff (Steve,Jeremy,sSally,Nellie,Michone,Rome,Virginia,Pat,Christy,Kitty,Elaine,Miss Madrid,Tamara etc all)went above and beyond what would be normally expected at a recovery hospital. The care and passion towards my wife was very cool with nurses who had cared for her before would stop by to check up on her and give her a word of encouragement or smile. I would be remiss if I didn't salute the fantastic physical/speech therapy department at Kindred. My personal time frame for Peg to be up and walking with a walker was over a year given her prognosis . You can imagine my joy when Strati of the physical therapy dept ,when not more than a month and a half from arrival stopped me in the hallway and asked "did she tell you? " I said what?" we got her standing and took some steps" he said.Strati,Milly,Aubrey,Allie,Janell etc all. You guys are heros. And for administration at Kindred you guys get an A plus! from you Miss Ebony who without fail every morning with your big smile would check in on Peg and I and ask how we were doing and if there was anything we needed . And the CEO(etc)when seeing Peg would ask how she was doing. Then the case manager Stephanie who did all the leg work on managing Pegs insurance was outstanding. The food served was good and the cleanliness of the hospital was very good they never stop cleaning. Bottom line, through this ordeal from initial surgery to long term care to surgery to replace her bone scalp flap Peg has been to 3 hospital 2 of which are much larger and better well known than Kindred but as far as who has outperformed Kindred Sahara leaves the other 2 in the dust. Wishing all a happy new year! Tom husband of Peg

If I could I'd give your hospital ten stars. The nurses are so happy and I can really tell they love their jobs. I've dealt with some very rude nurses in the pass and I am so appreciative to see that your nurses understand that the last thing a sick Pearson wants to deal with is a poor attitude. They understand the importance of a smile and a kind word. Very professional, happy team . Thank you Kindred Sahara
