The rudest DR. Due to shortage of DR in Vancouver. I have to stuck with this rudest man. He would come in; listen to your sickness; then either say "nothing wrong" or just give you simple medicine, then he turns and walk away... most of the time I only see him for 3 mins; then he's gone. The receptionist Jenny is rude and moody as well.

Doesn’t give you any diagnosis or competent medical care. Prescribes antibiotics when they’re not needed

He prescribed me with accutane for acne that wasn't very bad - my skin was mostly clear except for some seasonal breakouts. I trusted his opinion (I was a teenager at the time) and didn't realize what a harsh and unnecessary medication this was, or I never would have compromised my physical, mental and emotional health just to reduce a few pimples. I thought the side effects would go away, but I have not been the same, and I'm still waiting to recover even though it has been years. It's had an awful impact on my life. I'm angry that I was not given something else before I was given this drug of last resort.

No nonsense doctor. Practical solutions to medical care. You need an appt. No drop in.

The receptionist is friendly. But Dr. Lum is the most terrible doctor i have ever seen, hardly get on an appointment with him. One time i got fever, he didnt do any temperature check. After waiting half an hour, he came in and asked me to go and get Avils.

Dr. Lum has been my family Doctor for Twenty years. The WORST thing about his office is Jenny. I needed results from some blood work Dr. Lum sent me for. I could not get past her to get him to CALL me. In this COVID world do I really need to make a SECOND visit to get results? She tells me my results were fine BUT online I had FIVE warning symbols to watch. Who is she to tell me I'm fine and not let me talk to the Doctor? I'm so unimpressed with her, but you know how hard it is to find a doctor in BC???

85 yr old mom with persistent cough for over 2 months, and dr. keeps telling her to take dm cough syrup. I asked about x-ray after 3 months, and he said she sounds better; but, if cough persist for another 2 wks, then get xray. We didn't bother with waiting. She took xray the following week. Xray showed nothing (?), but still has persistent cough. Mom even asked whether it could be lung cancer, and flat out said no. After 6 months of coughing, she is diagnosed with stage 3/4 advanced lung cancer. Also...looking back, mom had major issue with her foot (ie. swelling, discoloration, pain), and he said it's just bone spur and didn't do more investigating when symptoms persist. An episode led her to emergency, and found she has blood disorder. Every time mom sees him about something, I feel he doesn't take her concerns seriously. Her symptoms are apparently all due to aging. And he likes the wait and see approach. My mother trusted this doctor, but I feel he has failed her miserably. Receptionists are nice....just saying.

Doc is good/excellent. Receptionist is not friendly. However, receptionist is good at not overbooking the doctor. Punctuality of appointment given is 100% every time.
