I did breast augment with Dr. Mulholland over a year ago and am very happy with my results. I've had a couple kids and my breast deflated after breast feeding each child for a year. My deflated and droopy breast made me look like I was 80 years old. The rest of my body was in pretty good shape. I saw 2 surgeons prior to see Dr. Mulholland and I liked them OK, however I knew of Dr. Mulholland as I had seen him on TV and was aware of his good reputation and, importantly, 2 previous friends had surgery him and they were very happy. I had to have a screening consultation online with his nurse before seeing Dr. Mulholland. I submitted my breast photos and some photos of what I was looking for. I used to be a full D cup and was now a deflated C. I liked the nurse as I could have the consult from home, there was no cost , she was very knowledgeable and I reviewed some breast implants of girls online that I liked. She also thought my expectations were unrealistic as my post-baby body could never be as perky as the implants on women I had shown. About 2 months later, I was able to meet with Dr. Mulholland online and he was very thorough. He reviewed my goals and expectations, and the size range is looking. I wanted to go up to a full D and Dr. Mulholland made some recommendations. He advised at the time of my reop meeting to do the 3-D imaging machine and try different implant sizes and he recommended implant size ranges to help me get a sense of the kind of aesthetic results that could be achieved. On the day the surgery I was nervous but the operative team was great and made me feel relaxed. The operation took approximately an hour. The first week post op was quite sore as the upper part of the implant was under my pec muscle. Initially I was very happy the results as the implants were quite high and firm and that was what I was looking for. After 3 months the implants dropped and softened a bit which I didn't like but I knew that was bound to happen from my consultations. By 6 months the left implant dropped too far and sort of fell to the outside when I was lying down and almost fell into my armpit. I reviewed this with Dr. Mulholland and his team on one of my postop visits. I knew this was one of the risks of surgery and that I may need some enhancement surgery. By 9 months, the falling implant had seemed to stabilize, and Dr. Mulholland performed what he called an internal “breast lift” procedure where the pocket was tightened, and the implant was lifted up and in. This procedure was done under local freezing and went quite easy and there was not much recovery (not like the first time). I had to wear a support bra for about 4 to 6 weeks to help encourage internal healing. Initially, I liked the internal lifted breast as it was now higher than the other side, however, over time it dropped and started to match the side I did not touch. I like that Dr. Mulholland was able to fix my fallen implant and did not charge as I did not have the money. I am super happy with the overall results of my breast augment job. My new breast look great. Even with the minor setback, Dr. Mulholland stood by his commitment, and he fixed it and I ended up with a great job and my breast look better than before kids! I am happy I chose him and his team. He is great and I would see him again for next surgery. KB Toronto
I had a mini tummy tuck performed by Dr. Mulholland over a very ago and am very happy with my results. I have always been quite thin with good skin tone but I had a child later in life in my 40s and ended up with a lot of loose skin below my bellybutton. No matter exercise training, crunches or diet and nutritional help had tightened my skin. I tried some sort of noninvasive t laser and micro needling at only surgeons result and, although there was a small improvement it was definitely not worth the money and should have just saved it for my tummy tuck. I read about Dr. Mulholland online and watched some of this TV shows where he showed his patented bodytite procedure which tightens without a big scar I decided to have a consultation as he was the developer the procedure and had a great reputation. I met Dr. Mulholland many weeks after seeing one of his nurses virtually online and he assessed my lower tummy skin, which was quite loose. He advised that we do the bodytite treatment to tighten the upper and lower skin but also do a skin pinch mini tummy tuck down through the pubic region with a limited size scar. He advised to void a full tummy tuck and assured me that he would keep the scar fairly short. I could have the operation under local freezing as I didn't want to get a full general and I didn't want any muscle repaired as my tummy muscles were quite good. I decided have this mini tummy tuck and the procedure was performed under some pills and shots and I had decided to stay overnight at the clinic The postop pain was the quite mild to moderate I hated the drains that were left in to help remove the fluid and let my skin stick down to my muscles. Unfortunately, I had a postop complication with some fluid collection under my tummy tuck skin. Dr. Mulholland performed the drainage and put in another annoying drain. This drain came out after 2 to 3 weeks and finally the skin appeared to stick down flat I now love my tight skin. The scar was a little longer than I had anticipated but they started treating it with topical silicone gel and they did some laser and injection treatments. By six months the scar became very light, and I got a tattoo which hides it completely. Overall, I'm very happy with my results and my tummy skin looks tight. Dr. Mulholland I was able to give me what I wanted and deliver great results. Even the minor complication was managed well. I really recommend no one else for this type of procedures as he is a world expert and we have him right here in Toronto. I feel quite fortunate to have found him and that he delivered what I wanted. I can now wear a bikini again!!
I always had lower lid bags (from my dad) and they got worse over the years (kids). There made me look exhausted, even if I was not tired and I GOT TIRED, of people asking me if I had enough sleep. I decided on Dr. Mulholland because of his online reputation, I had seen him to the surgery on CityLine and I had two friends who had surgery from him were very happy. I was nervous however because it was eyes and face. I had a screening consultation with his nurse coordinator Jenny, who is also very excellent who was able to provide a lot of information and to discuss the risks, benefits and recovery. Dr. Mulholland also did an online consultation, he was very detailed, described the procedure, which was done from inside the eyelid avoiding a scar. I did suffer from some dryness of my eyes and wore contacts. Dr. Mulholland made me see an eye specialist before the surgery who prescribed some postoperative drops and reassured me that the risks of the procedure were minimal but my dry eye symptoms could get worse. The operation took about an hour and was under local freezing and some meds by mouth. I was comfortable throughout. After the surgery, there was cassava swelling and bruising of my lower eyes and I looked quite back for about a week. However, I was into some makeup at two weeks into and generally was happy with the procedure by six weeks. I was also happy with the frequency treatments with the Morpheus done on my lower lid skin and to improve my acne scars on my cheeks and tighten my face without the need for surgery. For 3 to 6 months, I still had some on dry eye symptoms on the right side, even when I was not wearing my contacts however with eye doctors care this eventually resolved. Now at ten months I am VERY HAPPY with the results. NO MORE LID BAGS and I have never looked more rested or attractive. I now love my eyes. My friends all say it looks great, youthful and quite natural. I would highly recommend Dr. Mulholland and his team. As a results, several of my friends also underwent procedures with him and were happy. Don't trust your face to anyone else.
I had a nose job with Mulholland about 11 months ago and I been very happy with my results. I always had a large bump on the bridge and a droopy tip thanks to my parents and otherwise had very feminine facial features. I found my nose appeared very masculine and I was hated it, especially profile shots. During COIVD and with all this online streaming my nose seemed to grow even more. I had been thinking of a nose job since like about age 14. I had decided if I got nose done it would be by Dr. Mulholland as saw him on a couple of Cityline shows where he did reduction nose jobs on women with noses like mine and I really liked the results. I also liked the fact that he is trained in both the ENT nose and breathing work as well as cancer and plastic surgery and he could manage nasal breathing problems which I didn't want to have after my nose got shrunken made smaller. Dr. Mulholland met me online for a consultation. It was detailed and her reviewed what I did not like, what might be done and how. He also performed some preoperative imaging on my nose and this imaging was excellent to seek as he showed me several ranges of outcomes that might occur, and this allowed me to pick how much I might want to reduce my bridge and lift the tip up. Dr. Mulholland also recommended a tip graft that he would get from the partition of the inside of my nose that would be removed as part of my preventative rebreathing procedure. He felt the tip graft was important to help keep my tip from plunging after. The surgery took a little over 2 hours and I was right out. The post pain was not bad, but I looked terrible because he also to break my nose I had a lot of bruising on my eyes, and I looks horrible for the first week. The packing from the breath surgery came out of my nose in several days and the cast came off at one week and by about 10 days I could put makeup on. Is very happy with my bump reduction by about two weeks but I found that my tip is very swollen, round and more bulbous than before and looked worse. The post op team my nurse Yolonda who looked after me, she reassured me that the tip would take several months to improve. I don't remember them telling me this, but I'm sure they did and sure enough over the next six months my bridge improve. By 9 months, my tip was turned up more and the swelling had come down and I was very happy with my tip and the bridge. Dr. Mulholland had brought in my nostrils so they would not look too wide and one slightly one was still slightly wider than the other and he did offer to practice at no charge but I did not find this a big deal time and did not want another minor procedure. Overall, I really love my nose and it looks quite natural, matches my face and is very close to the simulated nose job that he showed me before the operation and I still have my cell phone. I certainly recommend Dr. Mulholland and his team's for anyone looking for nose surgery as he is obviously very experienced, had done a ton of nose jobs over the years and his experience shows.
I had a breast augmentation with Dr. Mulholland over six months ago and I'm very happy with the results. I chose Dr. Mulholland because of his reputation and the preoperative simulated imaging that clinic offered. I met Dr Mulholland’s nurse coordinator first online, Audrey I think. She was excellent and then had a virtual consultation with Dr. Mulholland who is very thorough. He recommended some implant sizes based upon my goals and cohesive gel silicone model. During my preoperative evaluation I was able to use a computer imaging machine and see the range of improvements that are likely to occur. Also, the website had good before and afters, with some patients with a build like mine. The surgery took an hour using a general anesthesia. The post breast augment pain with the implant under my chest muscle was worse than I thought and my muscles was quite sore for approximately two weeks. Initially I was kind of freaked out because the implants were too high and hard. But after several weeks as clinic told me they would, the implants dropped and started to soften. I really like the results by six months and they were exactly what I wanted, in fact they look far better than the simulated imaging had appeared I am very happy with them. The postop nursing team with Sharon and Sheila and Yolonda were all great and made the overall experience wonderful. It did not see a lot of Dr. Mulholland after the surgery, only after they looked great but his team is very caring and I went to him because he was an excellent surgeon that I knew he was very experienced and my augment turned out better than I expected. I also like that they treated my scar with laser after to help faded and they kept and nearly invisible. I highly recommend Dr. Mulholland and his team. My best friend also done an augment with him and after me she is very happy as well. EL Toronto
When I turned 70 I was happy that I have been able to maintain my weight and fitness but my face that had been lean in my 40s and 50s became quite saggy and wrinkly especially on the front of my neck and jawline in my late 60s and 70s. I had always vowed that if I started to look older than my age I would get some surgery done and even though I was nervous of plastic surgery (so many weird looking celebrities) I decided to pursue this. I've known and seen Dr. Mulholland on Cityline with Marilyn Dennis and Tracey Moore and other shows for two decades and so I always knew I would see him, as I had seen several facelifts he did for the show and thought they looked great. I did a screening consultation with one of those online nurses who recommended that he probably would suggest a lower face and neck lift. The nurse described how he would do the work and some of the risks (scary) that could happen if things went wrong. Although this made me nervous, I was quite happy that Dr. Mulholland had performed well over a thousand of these procedures over the 20 years and complications were rare and could generally be managed. I had another a plastic surgeon consultation and although I liked the surgeon and learned a lot as well, I still felt much more confident with Dr. Mulholland. Dr. Mulholland did his consult with me virtually (I am out of town, and it was COVID) and he recommended a lower face and neck lift with tightening my neck muscles and he also recommended a couple techniques using devices he helped develop for additional the face tightening with the Morpheus to the neck and face which the other surgeon hadn't discussed. As I had that kind of very wrinkly neck almost that kind of like an iguana, this part my neck bothered me and I'd wondered how surgery alone might improve it as it was not corrected when I pulled on the sides of the neck myself, so I was glad Dr. Mulholland was going to add this. The procedure could be done under local freezing and oral medications. I was glad as I did not want a full general. There was some paid initially with the freezing, but with the oral sedation and local freezing and laughing gas I was really quite comfortable after a few minutes and I was able to sleep during the procedure. I did stay overnight and not sure I had to do that but they insisted and I guess I always would put safety first. I had the incision inside my ear not in front, which is what had wanted and behind my ear went up into the hair at the back so I had no visible scar across the back of my neck skin which the other surgeon had mentioned I would have. This nonvisible scar approach to the neck was really one of the benefits of seeing Dr. Mulholland, as I wear my hair up a lot. The front of my neck where I was most concerned about the very fine lines and wrinkles were treated with the fractional Morpheus needle and down a face-tight device at the same time as my necklift skin was removed. While these treatments left my neck quite red and swollen for several weeks and there were little indented marks and I was worried these might leave some permanent sort of scarring, but they reassured they would settle and then did. After about eight weeks I was able to put on make-up, which was a couple weeks longer than I thought as they had mentioned it would take about six weeks but it is worth the wait ! After 3 months, I was very happy and now by one year my neck looks like it did 20 years before. I don’t like the “pulled too tight look” but my necklift looks quite natural and I am extremely happy. I'd rather be enjoying being 70 but looking 50 as the rest of my body I can usually take care of now easily with exercise and diet. I highly recommend Dr. Mulholland and his SpaMedica surgery team as they are very professional and had clearly been doing this for very long time and have tremendous experience. I didn't get to see Dr. Mulholland postoperatively as much as I would have liked, however his postoperative nursing team led by Sharon were excellent and I knew I could see Dr. Mulholland at any time if there was trouble or concerns. Dr. Mulholland is one of Canada’s best and an excellent facial surgeon and I recommend him if looking for cosmetic facial surgery. A couple of my friends have booked with Dr. Mulholland for the same necklift as I was their Guinea pig. RM Ottawa
Terrible experience. He completely botched my nose. I printed out photos of what I wanted and he did the complete opposite of what I said. On my cast removal day it wasn’t even him there it was a nurse. I hate my nose and now I have to pay thousands to get it fixed. Stay away from this doctor.
I’ve had such a terrible experience at spa medics. I had a breast augmentation and had he worst results possible. My breasts both look and feel hard. One of my breasts did not fit in its pocket properly. It turns out that my implants have been recalled as well. Take your money somewhere else. They do not care about you at spa medica. Dr. Mullholland is rude and no one should support this business.
Dr. talks you into something to fit his profile of having patient come once a year for Botox and fillers, like obedient soldiers. It does not look good, offers to fix, but resents the time, becomes rude and mean. Avoid!
a lower face lift was performed and I've ended up with one ear 1/4 inch lower than the other
