Seven Deskercises You Can Do At Work

Seven Deskercises You Can Do At Work

By now you’re probably well aware of the dangers of being a 9-to-5 couch desk potato. There’re some really simple solutions that can help, but ultimately, it’ll take a little more than restless movement to balance your sedentary-still days.

So what’s a desk jockey supposed to do?

TIME asked Cedric X. Bryant, chief science officer at the American Council on Exercise, and John Porcari, executive director of La Crosse Exercise and Health Program at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse what their favourite exercises are to do in the office.

These seven ‘deskercises’ are subtle enough to not draw attention from your boss (‘We pay you to work, not move’), yet effective enough to make a noticeable lifestyle change.

Enjoy your day of work(ing out)!
