When you talk to Dr. Best you feel he cares deeply about your health issues and I like the thorough questions he asks to understand the source of your health problems. Then he comes up with a plan that gives you hope that your health can be restored.

I went to see Dr. Ryan to supplement my conventional cancer treatment at Tom Baker for colon cancer. I found Dr. Ryan extremely knowledgeable and was able to provide a clear, concise non-technical explanations to what my oncologist was telling me about my diagnosis and subsequent treatment. He was also able to access certain critical blood tests that whereas not yet approved in Canada (still in research stage) are approved and widely used in the US and which are in my view, "game-changers" in terms of future cancer treatment and peace of mind. I would recommend Dr. Best if you want an alternative view and treatments and a knowledgeable advocate for your cancer treatment.

Dr. Best encompasses everything I was looking for in an integrative oncologist. On top of being a good listener, he's very knowledgeable in the area of oncology (specifically testing and treatment). He's been clear with me about what he believes to be the best treatment approaches, which is important because I wouldn't want a doctor that tells me what he thinks I want to hear. Furthermore, he's also been very patient with my many questions. This is a big plus! One more thing that has been really helpful is that Dr. Best is knowledgeable about both alternative and conventional treatment strategies, both effective and ineffective, which is also important, especially given where I'm at in my cancer journey. The long and the short of it is that I plan to continue as a patient of Dr. Best.

Dr. Ryan Best isn't just a Naturopathic doctor - he's my angel. Sounds dramatic but I assure you it's not. He's literally helping me to get my life back.

After decades of being misdiagnosed by other medical professionals who frequently dismissed my concerns or claimed my issues were purely because of "anxiety and depression" I was given the diagnosis of Fibromyalgia. I tried everything they suggested but had been unable to work in 6 years. I continued to decline physically and mentally until I was planning to end my own life. That was June 2022.

Somehow I found the wonderful people at Neurvana. My very first visit with Dr. Best was in July 2022 and was unlike any doctor's appointment I had ever had before. He listened, and I mean REALLY LISTENED to everything that had been bothering me. 6 weeks later I had a potential diagnosis, potential treatment and an actual plan (communicated fully) going forward.

In less than 3 months my life had been turned around. I felt better than I had in 6 or 7 years - and I'm continuing to improve each day.

If you want to find the CAUSE of your illness instead of getting a metaphorical BANDAID from your current medical professionals - YOU NEED TO CALL NEURVANA!! Dr. Best is fantastic and I would recommend him to anyone who's still looking for answers and not finding any within our existing government health care system.

We had both in-person and real-time video calls with Dr. Ryan. We used the services of three other Functional Doctors' clinics in Calgary but none of them offered the service and care we received at Neurvana and Dr. Ryan in particular. I loved the approach he took when looking for the cause, the treatment options he offered to our daughter and the follow-up calls. He is very friendly, professional and knowledgeable and the treatments he offered to our daughter were very beneficial. We are very pleased with the outcome and we highly recommend them.

Dr. Ryan has been very helpful in my healing journey. His extensive knowledge in oncology is greatly appreciated. The extra things he recommended when I had radiation back in May really helped avoid side effects I believe.

Seeing DrBest has been a life changing decision for me, initially I went in as I was getting sick every 2-3 weeks, and at that point I was sick more than I was healthy, and regular doctors weren’t helping.

I met Dr Best for a consultation for being sick, and he went through my entire health history to find the stem of my problems, and he recommended a QEGG with neurofeedback and lasering as I most likely had issues stemming from brain functioning, I was not 100% on it initially but at this point I was willing to do anything

On top of being sick all the time, I had been battling anxiety, panic attacks and depression for years, not knowing that there were treatments to assist this as well, and literally after my first few treatments I noticed massive improvements on my mental health, I had no idea these issues could be addressed in this manner, and for the first time in years I was present and not suffering from mental health issues.

Dr Best let me know everything is related in your body, and he was absolutely right!

No only have I not been sick in the longest time in months, but I have lost my panic attacks, anxiety and depression.

Now I have higher energy levels, I don’t have daytime brain fog, I don’t forget my sentences or words, and these treatments have helped my overall demeanour and mood, I don’t remember the last time I have felt good.

I have been agitated, moody and temperamental for years, not knowing that this was a brain functioning issue, now my relationships are getting better with my wife, coworkers and friends, and I am actually excited to do things again and not isolate myself.

Dr. Best is very informative and caring in his approach and doesn't give up on his patients. When I first started seeing Dr. Best, I had debilitating symptoms that made day-to-day life very difficult. He was able to deal with symptom management right at the first visit (for symptoms that I had had for 2 years and had been told nothing could be done for several times) and then worked to address the root causes. He works to combine the conventional and naturopathic approaches to treat all facets of your disease and always ensures all concerns are addressed. I would highly recommend Dr. Best and the Neurvana team!

My experience with Dr. Ryan Best has been life-changing.

I am struggling with medical and mental issues that have radically limited my life and ability to function. It has been a very chronic struggle. Dr. Best has given me back hope of regaining my life and my resilience. I trust him. He is so knowledgeable, transparent, professional and methodical but also so compassionate and warm.
