Biography

Dr. Muggia grew up in the Winchester area, attended school locally and started his practice in 1990. His father started his local GI practice in 1965 and they worked together for 15 years. He is the Chief of Gastroenterology at the Winchester Endoscopy Center , a Specialist Medical Director for the Highland Healthcare Associates IPA and the President of Digestive Health Associates and DHA Endoscopy. He received his MD from Tufts Medical School, completed three years of Internal Medicine residency at Duke University in North Carolina, three years of Fellowship at Harvard University's Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and an advanced interventional year at Maine Medical Center. Dr. Muggia sees patients with any GI concerns or needs. Digestive Health Associates can handle most all GI issues and we have colleagues at all the local tertiary centers.
