I had a root canal done, but when it didn't stop the tooth pain, I had an apical done (remove of tip of root). However, I still have pain years later. I am now having problems contacting him- I do not know if the staff are ignoring me or if he won't tell the staff what they need to know, but I am in constant daily pain and his very expensive procedures were of no help, and he will not follow up with me.

Dr Yasini and his team were incredible!! The staff were warm, inviting and supportive. Dr Yasini was amazing!!.I felt calm and safe during the entire procedure. He was truly the best ! - alma Gilbertson

I have seen Dr Yasini in the past, he was very caring and took his time to explain things - he was a 5 star. The staff were also amazing especially the front desk staff. I recently went to see him for a issue with the same tooth, and the clinic has a very different feel, except the front-end staff, which are still amazing. His assistants were uneasy whenever he is around or spoke to them. The consultation was very brief, mostly having me sign an agreement to the payment of surgery. I left confused only knowing his previous root canal wasn’t enough and the only option was to do a “surgery” – not sure of what surgery as he never really told me. But I trusted him based on my previous experience with him and his team.
In preparation for the surgery, I called in and asked for an electronic copy of the pre-op instructions, which I followed exactly. NOTE: the surgery was delayed 2 times by the clinic and the last was to allow Dr Yasini to go for a weekend holiday. On the day of surgery, the assistant reviewed the pre-op instructions with me, but they were different. She became frantic when I missed 1 of the points (which I was NOT aware of) and then kept saying “What will Dr Yasini think? He will probably refuse to do the surgery”. I was lectured at that I needed to follow the pre-op instructions. When I tried to explain I was sent different instructions – she just kept saying “Dr Yasini is going to delay the surgery”. Finally, Dr Yasini came to see me and refused to do the surgery. I was shocked but understood that the coffee I drank that morning could have a negative affect on the surgery. When I tried to tell him there was an issue with the instructions I received, he was dismissive. Then, he said he could repeat the root canal. I asked is what the best option. He said the surgery is the best option. When I asked why I would redo the ineffective root canal procedure, he became condescending. He told me I could just leave and when I “felt” I needed treatment and they could fit me in. Shocked at this I got up to leave. At this point he barked at the assistants to clean up the surgery room and the assistants all jumped at his request. The atmosphere was very uncomfortable due to his attitude. He then told me there would be no charge. Really??? I was given the incorrect instructions, berated and suffering from another delay in treatment from Dr Yasini. I used to rave about Dr Yasini, not anymore – he has changed. There are many other amazing endodontists in Edmonton – go see them.

I had an unacceptable and traumatic experience with Dr. Yasini. His all female-staff seem to like him and say he is gentle and nice. I had anxiety about the process; he mocked me and became insulted when I started with questions. He refused them. I asked about the procedure and the needle - he refused to take the time to explain. I panicked when the needle was revealed (since he did not take the time to communicate - no bedside manner, in fact a lot of ego and defensiveness and he was in a rush). We stopped and the staff helped me - they seemed to see what I needed but had not felt empowered to step in when he was making a mess of things. I paused for the day and he came out, He did not apologize - he merely mocked my anxiety, suggested it was my fault that he did not know I had anxiety (though when I told him he mocked it), He also suggested he would not let me rebook as I had wasted their time. It may have something to do with gender as he was rude and defensive from the get go when I did what all doctors recommend - ask questions is you are apprehensive. Could be that he did not like a woman doing that, or maybe he just is not ego/emotionally mature enough to communicate or to be questioned. If you have any apprehension about a procedure, DO NOT see him - it sounds as if Carol who is also in that office may be a lot better. Insulting, uncaring, and he gaslighted me. A disgrace.

Dr. Yasini is one of the finest endodontists in Canada. We are very fortunate to have him in Edmonton.

Dr Yasini saved my molar tooth, I was in extreme pain from a previous root canal from my regular dentist, there was 2 missed live nerve endings that showed up 6 month later in the same tooth, Dr Yasini guaranteed to remove the pai n and save the tooth, which he did and Iam thankful for him, very professional and a real gentlemen, Thank yo so so much.
