Dr Prentice is a wonderful naturopath. My MD actually referred me to him for IBS because she said he had really helped another one of her patients so I called and saw him the next week. I have (and always have had) pretty bad digestion. No-one was really ever able to give me any answers even after doing all the tests with the specialists and all that. Dr Prentice basically said there could be a number of causes for IBS but that there was really no way of knowing without just trying some things out to see what worked and what didn't. Well we changed up my diet some and that helped a bit. Took some probiotics and enzymes and that helped a bit. Changed the diet up again and now that was a significant difference. Then a few different herbal supplements and I was astounded all of a sudden I feel like a new woman! I wouldn't say I have perfect digestion at the moment but Im worlds away from where I started. The IBS doesnt dominate me like it used to. I still go see him every few months and we're still tweaking things here and there but honestly Im already so happy with where Im at. I don't understand how this stuff isn't common knowledge in this day and age but hopefully some day it might be.

High recommend this naturopath! I know all NDs do things a bit differently but for for me Dr Prentice was a perfect fit. Common sense, science, and he tailored the treatment to my budget. So glad I found him!

I have seen so many conventional and alternative doctors over the years and I would have to say Dr Nick helped me the most AND he was easier to work with and cost me less than most! Different therapies work with different people of course but he had just the perfect approach for me and it helped me change things up to the point where I feel so much better. My digestion is much improved and everything else ie skin, energy, sleep etc all improved along with it. Go see Nick if you want an honest ND!

Dr Nick was really awesome and easy to work with. He did not make me do anything crazy or strict or do any expensive testing (unlike the last ND i saw). Health is a process and he set me on course and now I feel better all the time. Great ND!

Wow was really impressed with Nick. It almost felt like seeing a regular MD except he thinks outside the box and is very thorough. He kept the treatment cheap for me and I think Im pretty much fully recovered after a few months. This is the kind of thing that should be covered by OHIP!

Biography

Many conditions; from digestive issues, autoimmune disease, generalized fatigue and many more can prevent us from doing the things we want to do.These conditions that we call chronic disease can often be traced back to underlying imbalances and dysfunctions within the body. It is through treating this altered physiology that lies below the surface that long term health improvements can be achieved. Typically the body is either lacking something(s) it needs to function, or there is something impeding its proper function. My approach is to first identify which factors are responsible for the imbalances/dysfunctions in the body, which is accomplished using comprehensive health history as well as advanced diagnostic laboratory testing. Then, once the aggravating factors are brought to light, an individualized program utilizing tools such as targeted natural agents (ie botanicals and nutraceuticals), therapeutic diet, and lifestyle counselling is implemented. The end goal for all treatments with all patients is lifelong optimal health.
