Dr. Markowitz is extremely knowledgable, and has a wonderful bedside manner. He really takes the time to listen and educate both the patient and the patient's parents. He has helped out daughter tremendously.

Dr. Markowitz is the most arrogant doctor I have ever met. He was so sure of himself to the point where he said there was a 90% chance our child did not have Crohn's, & that we were "fishing for things to be wrong." Not only was Dr. Markowitz sorely mistaken, our child wound up diagnosed very shortly thereafter with moderate to severe Crohn's & in need of chemotherapeutic medication. Stay away from this doctor - he is pompous & jaded, & just may cost your child their accurate diagnosis thus precious time wasted.

Dr. Markowitz saved my son's life. He is wonderfully kind and patient with both my sons who are high functioning autistic. He is always willing to help the kids to understand their disease, Crohn's, and will repeat himself patiently with both my sons. He has a great sense of humor and is wonderful. I cannot understand anyone having a negative opinion unless they are negative themselves.

I can't imagine anyone having a negative experience with Dr. Markowitz! He is kind, wonderfull with my son and myself and very patient and caring! We love him!

He was great. He did surgery on my son when he was four. I absolutely don't know who these people are talking about him in a negative way, I was impressed with him.

As someone who never writes on boards such as these, I feel compelled to give my family's opinion after reading other critical reports. Dr. Markowitz is one of the most knowledgable, thorough, empathetic and patient doctors we have been to. We left the appointment far more informed and would highly recommend Dr. Markowitz.

Although this doctor is very knowledgeable, he is demeaning, placating and will humiliate you. It was THE most uncomfortable doctor's visit I have every sat through. I nearly got up and left in the beginning of the appointment. Dr. Markowitz is supposedly a pediatric GI expert, but his bedside manner is in some serious need of attention. He expects you to know things a non-medical professional could never know and puts you down when you don't have the answer he is looking for. It was a wasted visit. I believe this man needs some psychological counseling - he is very angry and like the person above stated, it definitely seemed as though he was looking to pick a fight. Do yourself and your child a BIG favor, and move on to the next pediatric GI!

I trust him with my daughter's health. He is very patient and kind, he takes the time to answer any questions that you have and explains what you may not understand. I recommend him 100%.
