Dr. Fedder's goal is to achieve maximum benefit with the least disruption to your body. Whether a procedure is one hour, such as a lumbar discectomy operation or a 3-6 hour procedure such as a complex cervical or lumbar surgery, the treatment program needs to address each person's unique personal and family situation. In addition, Dr. Fedder is incorporating special protocols. For example, Dr. Fedder uses a method of skin preparation along with pre-operative antibiotics that have minimized the risk of infection. Post-op pain relief is also handled in a novel fashion to minimize your anesthetic and analgesic medication needs. Complications can happen but it is Dr. Fedder's goal for you to have successful surgery but also minimize and hopefully eliminate your risk of complications. I was a patient of Dr. Fedder back in 2012, I had a pinched nerve and herniated disk that was broken too. He performed surgery and I improved to some point, but never go back to being fine, the pain never got resolved. Now I have a progressive degenerative weakness, lack of feeling from my waist down and I have chronic pain 24/7. I put my hope on get better after his intervention and sadly it didn't worked out, I have being living with strong and constant pain and a limited life, I'm 44 and soon I'll be needing a wheelchair. Apparently he is a good doctor, but couldn't fix me and I'm getting rapidly worse and without a good quality of life.
