I am very pleased with Dr. Mitek-he is a very thorough and knowledgable physician and is responsible for saving my life!He and his staff have treated me for an incurable lung disease and were also instrumental in discovering an inherited heart condition. He takes time every visit to review and discuss my condition. Last year following a bad fall, I developed a brain bleed. It did not present itself until weeks later-we knew there was a severe concussion but there was no bleed initially. Weeks later we noticed sypmtoms and were seen at once by Dr, Mitek who moved quickly to get me to Beaumont E.R. A craniotomy followed and we all know I am one lucky person!I cannot say enough good things about this Dr. Patients may have a wait getting in to see him because he IS a great physician, but once you do, he takes all the time needed. I can say firsthand when it apprears to be an emergency, Dr, Mitek will either see you at once or send you to the hospital E.R.

I have been going to this office for a few years, after escorting my father in law to his visits with Mitek . He knows how to to get you fixed up, and seems more concerned and smarter than the typical Dr. Also at this office is Dr Demeri , he is younger, and a sharp thinker as well. Many of my friends have switched to Dr. Mitek and are very happy with him. He takes his time explaining what may be causing the issue, and what to do to fix it. The office has a wide variety of good equipment and is clean. Fast in and out.(comparatively speaking)

I had seen Dr. Mitek because I had cold and cough symptoms that lasted 4 weeks. He asked why I felt I had to see a Doctor. I said that it is commonly said to seek medical help if symptoms last longer than 2 weeks. He asked me if I wanted an antidepressant. WHAT!!

Unfortunately, he had only seen once prior, with a laundry list of complications like severe Anemia, rheumatoid, and other dumb stuff affecting my life.I'm a normal human, nothing wrong with my mind.I take one med, adderall and just seen a psych. a month prior to get help adjusting those meds because since my anemia and gas.bypass absorption problems set in, nothing was working anymore. They failed to tell me the severity of my anemia (now get IV infusions), I came in for skin ulcers that appeared 48 hours b4 and wouldn't stop bleeding. He insisted I picked my skin, and no, never have. He didn't understand this happened monthly. Whats he do? Picks up the phone to call a psych I've seen once and must have told them something so horrific, it ended with me being told I should get commited, be medicines that would put me in a coma.I'm not that. patient/phys confidentiality out the window for sure! My medical info was shared w/unauth. people after complaint was filed. I feel so ashamed.
