There aren't enough good things to say about this doctor, he is excellent. He's thorough, his surgical technique is fantastic, and he is personable. Wonderful bedside manner is a major bonus.

I experienced a severe rotator cuff issue after a motorcycle crash. I had pain for years and went through constant physio. I met with Dr. Saliken and had him walk me through surgical options. He was extremely helpful and insightful. His operation performance was exemplary, and I haven’t had issues since! I would definitely recommend him to anyone requiring work!

I've been in pain for years, searching for someone willing to help me. I am so thankful to have met Dr. Saliken. He was the first person willing to hear me out and he ended up performing shoulder surgery on me. He repaired my torn labrum and reattached my bicep tendon. I have had many surgeries and this is the first time I've woken up feeling awesome. I have had barely any pain since, and the throbbing constant pain I've had for 12 years is gone ! He was helpful, explained everything he was doing and made me completely comfortable the whole time. I would HIGHLY recommend him.

I was having pain for years and I was fortunate to have Dr. Saliken perform my shoulder replacement. He explained my cat scan and surgical options thoroughly. My surgery went well and 3 months later my pain is so much better and I'm finally able to use my arm! Dr. Saliken has a thoughtful kind bedside manner and I feel lucky to be his patient. My name is David Taggart. Dr. Saliken performed surgery to repair my left elbow which was broken in 3 places leaving bone fragments imbedded in the joint as well as severing a ligament that keeps the elbow from comming out of joint. Dr. Saliken had me into surgery very quickly and did a marvelous job of removing the bone fragments and reattaching the ligament. I woke up after surgery with virtually no pain and within 3 weeks I was gaining some use if my arm & no longer needed the half cast Dr. Saliken wisely put on to afford me some use of the arm while it healed. Now 7 weeks later and I have full use of my arm, no complications and I am very very pleased with his work!!! Most Excellent indeed

Dr. Saliken performed bankart repair on my shoulder last year. I was back to playing sports in 6-months with full range of motion and no fear of re-injury.

I had completely ruptured my left leg and Dr Dave Saliken was my surgeon. I was very pleased with his bed side manner and he was great to deal with. My results were great and I would recommend him for any orthopedic surgery!

I broke my ankle in March. The Staff at VGH were wonderful and helpful. I was lucky to be assigned Dr. Dave Saliken as my surgeon. Although he was very professional he had a sense of humour that I appreciated. He explained everything about the surgery. I had broken my ankle on both sides so he explained that he would need to put in a plate and screws. He explained every step along the way. Although I'm sure he has to do this speel often it felt like he was interested and present when he was talking to me. He seemed to be very knowledgeable and professional. My husband has a science background and is always ready with an infinite amount of questions which Dr. Saliken answered patiently and easily. He was very thorough and I had several Xrays during my recovery to make sure I was on the right path. I can't say enough good things about him. I would highly recommend him. Diane White

I tripped and fell and broke my radial head. Dr. Dave Saliken was assigned as my surgeon to repair it. He was very kind and thorough before the surgery and explained very kindly what he was going to do in the surgery to help me - providing the options depending on what damage he found. He was very knowledgeable and compassionate for my condition. I am very thankful that he did whatever was needed for the repair and now I wait for the recovery from the surgery that was completed earlier today. He is a very kind man and I am thankful for him.
