Dr. Makanjee is an excellent choice for a cardiologist. He’s very knowledgeable and has a great bedside manner. He explains everything to you that is easy to understand. Yesterday he did a second ablation on me and today I’m feeling fantastic. The first one he did on me was in 2016. That one lasted so long. The procedure was slightly different than the first one. Instead of staying overnight in the hospital, I got to go home the same day as the procedure. I would recommend him to anyone that needs an ablation done.

Bad experience with this doctor….maybe because I have an accent? He asked me about how I feel after my Cardioversion which he did not show up for. I was trying to provide an answer but he seemed impatient and annoyed talking to me. My AFib is back; now he’s recommending another procedure (Ablation) but seemed impatient to explain this to me. Very dismissive and arrogant. I will not go back to this doctor. I don’t care about all his diplomas and accreditations displayed on his wall. He should not look down on people and show true compassion.

I can confirm comments/reviews about this doctor being ARROGANT. My husband was diagnosed with AFib and went through Cardioversion which unfortunately did not correct the condition. During our follow up visit he recommended Ablation. I (the wife) happened to have this procedure in 2016 for a different diagnosis (SVT) so naturally I asked if this will be the same procedure (same name?!?). His response: “I don’t want this to be about you….” !?!?!? He handed my husband a pamphlet and said: “I guess this is something that you need to think about…”). The wall in his office is filled with all kinds of diplomas and accreditations… you can display all of these but if you do NOT have or CANNOT show compassion to your patients they mean NOTHING. Your patients have the right to ask questions for clarifications. We need you to provide us information that we need to make an informed decision. Do NOT make us feel that we are wasting your time—we waited long enough for you to just see us for 5 minutes to hand us a pamphlet and dismiss our concerns. Your business card says: “Compassionate Cardiology” - really?!?!

I was referred to Dr. Makanjee when diagnosed with atrial flutter (a circuit in the heart chamber that misfires continuously) and my heart stopping esfor 4 to 6 seconds randomly at any given time. Dr. Makanjee recommended an Ablation procedure to correct the atrial flutter and possibly fixing the heart randomly stopping which would avoid me getting a pace maker and the chance to not needing medications any longer. I had the procedure in December and it was a success fixing both of the problems and i no longer need to take medication. The procedure also gave me my energy and comfort of breathing back. I cannot express in words how thankful I am to Dr. Makanjee. He was very professional and kind. There was never negativity, preaching or pressure expressed. He truly is an electrician of the heart and if he tells you he is happy with his work it is not out of arrogance but rather out of being pleased with the results and I for one am very pleased that he was happy with his work!! I would also like to extend my thanks to all his clinic staff for their professionalism and politeness.

It is a very positive feeling when you have a confident and professional doctor in your corner.

Dr. Makanjee performed an ablation on me in October. He was very easy to talk to and explained everything about the procedure clearly to me. It went very well. I have no issues any more. He saved me from being on some real nasty medications that cause organ damage over the years. I feel great now thanks to him.

Dr Makanjee is amazing. He was kind and so patient with me. His expertise is bar none! I felt very confident.
Anyone who claims he has no people skills is quite wrong. And even if he doesn’t, I’d rather no people skills than no knowledge in his field of medicine. That is the most important.

Dr. Makanjee saved my husband's life. His knowledge of the electodes of the heart, is his specialty. He classifies himself as a Cardiologist Electrician - all I know is that he saved my husband who was told to go into Palliative care as his old Cardiologist said he could not do any more for him. His heart was operating at 14-18% - it is now almost normal.

I've had AFib my entire life but it didn't become a problem until I retired. Tried drugs and cardioversion but the condition persisted.
Then I had a consult with Dr Makanjee. Some in my family had cardio plumbing issues successfully resolved with stents and bypasses. My problem was electrical and Dr Makanjee is a master electrician.
It has been a few months since my ablation and my situation is completely resolved with no issues. He was clear about what the issue was and how he was going to fix me. Hopefully I will never need his services again but if I do I will be happy to work with him again.

I’ve seen some comments saying that this Dr was arrogant and I completely agree with them. He told me that he doesn’t like labels and completely disregarded the condition I was diagnosed with (which was the reason I was referred to him) and then told me everything I already knew and prescribed me medication after I explained I wasn’t sure if I wanted medication quite yet. I wanted to explore my options and learn more about my diagnosis and all the options to manage it. He wouldn’t listen to anything I was saying and told me he was a very busy cardiologist as if I didn’t take the time out of my life to come see him.

I had an ablation procedure--Dr. Makanjee was outstanding and my PVC issue was completely resolved. Very grateful to him and pleased with his service. My procedure was delayed by 9 months, including one cancelled at 6 months at the last minute, due to COVID. I would have appreciated a little more interaction in that waiting time. Nevertheless, I am very pleased and have no hesitation in recommending Dr. Makanjee. His skills as a cardiologist are outstanding.
