When I first went to the clinic in January (2024), I had been experiencing a lot of arthritic pain in my left hip. I had previously received treatments from two other clinics in Calgary, but the pain only continued to worsen. Dr. Arif Karmali took the time to provide a proper assessment and explain what was happening to me. I am so thankful that I was fortunate enough to meet Dr. Karmali! He has helped me feel much better with some treatment options and a path forward without pain.

I feel fortunate to have called the Knee Clinic and treated by Dr. Karmali. In June 2023 I injured my knee and it became very swollen and excruciatingly painful at times. My family doctor prescribed medication‘s and I was referred to a rheumatologist. I had an x-ray and ultrasound on the knee. Neither of the doctors mentioned that I had injured The MCL. They both indicated I had some osteoarthritis in the knee. The swelling would not subside. I’m sure the injury was exasperated due to a lot of walking while on vacation but, I did ice it and take anti-inflammatory medication’s diligently. I resorted to buying and using a walking stick. After six months of limping and limited mobility due to swelling I visited Dr Karmali. He was the only one who seemed to took a look at my x-ray and the notes that indicated I had injured the MCL and he was the only one who actually treated that injury. We discussed a lot of treatment options and was so happy to have the hands on treatment that got rid of the swelling and discomfort. After several weeks of treatment I now have full mobility of my knee and able to do a lot of the yoga and other exercises that I was accustomed to doing prior to the injury. We also discussed, and I fully agreed on taking a proactive approach to protecting my knee from further damage due to the arthritis by being fitted for a brace. I feel very confident in saying I am so grateful and would highly recommend Dr. Karmali.

Prior to booking first appointment with dr. Karmali I'd had a knee pain on and off for at least 5 years. Having suffered a serious re-injury during European vacation in October, I could barely walk. The Knee Clinic was recommended to me by a family member and I made a first appointment in early November. I was expecting a long way to recovery as the knee issue had been present for a long time.

Dr. Karmali took a close look at my movements during the initial assessment and in a very short time had identified 4 separate issues causing my knee stalemate.

What happened was absolutely beyond my wildest imagination. After a month I made at least 80% improvement, and now after 3 months I can declare my knee to be as good as new. Dr. Karmali (in my view) had performed a miracle!

And to add, he is a very nice guy with a good sense of humour. Not too common amongst the medical profession these days.

I was experiencing rapidly increasing pain in my knee over the summer. I had almost given up on my usual 10,000 steps per day and golfing. I was lucky to get 5000 until I saw an ad for the Knee Clinic. The beginning of Sept I called and got in very quickly. Dr. Karmali did the assessment and together we set up a plan ( I live 2 1/2 hours from the clinic). I have had the best experience with Dr. K, Andy, Dr. Laura, Dr. Arratta and the entire front end staff!! The progress made with my knee is remarkable. I am back to golfing and walking all my steps. I was referred to the Knee Clinic by a work colleague after I began experiencing consistent back and neck pain after returning to work from my maternity leave. Dr. Arif Karmali did a thorough and complete assessment of my back and neck area and was able to give me a diagnosis and quickly began a treatment plan.

I had pre-existing headaches from a previous injury that I had been dealing with for years. Not only did the treatment program help me strengthen and relive my neck and back, but it also helped to eliminate my chronic daily headaches, which I had learned to live with over the past several years.

I greatly appreciate Dr. Karmali and the wonderful team of people he works with at the Knee Clinic/Elite Sport Performance. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a Chiropractor who is knowledgeable, personable and who gets results.

After procrastinating and living with the pain in my knees for so long I of course decided to do something about it and didn't want to wait so I called the Knee Clinic. I booked in with Dr Karmali and within days I was in to see him and before the end of the initial visit we had an Acton plan to move forward. I really thought my golf season was going to end before it began, but just last week I walked my first round in 3 years. My osteoporosis isn't going anywhere but within a month I'm living without pain and mostly back to normal. If you are living with the pain and not sure what to do, just call him. TRUST ME

After struggling with osteo in both knees and only being prescribed Naproxen by my family doc, I sought treatment on my own with Dr. Karmali at The Knee Clinic. I’m so glad I did because I was at my wit’s end. At 61, I was in constant pain and my right knee kept giving out. Walking, going up and down stairs and even standing for any length of time was not only problematic but at times, impossible due to the pain. After a thorough assessment, I underwent treatment with Dr. Karmali and was also prescribed a knee brace. I’m now more active than I have been for years and the brace allows me to walk, stand, and use stairs without pain. I highly recommend Dr. Karmali!

I met Dr. karmali do to a knee issue I had that two other Doctors could not give me a clear diagnosis on or a treatment program. On my first visit Dr. karmali did a though examination and found the cause of the pain. He then layed out a treatment program and gave me a recovery time frame that worked out as he described.
I have had an ongoing pain issues that I thought was my hip four about three years. I have seen multiple others doctors about this issues and non of them could figure out that the issue wasn’t my hip but my psoas muscle. Despite having X-rays and ultrasound done.
Dr. Karmali also fixed an issue I had with my shoulder.
I think one of the things that puts Dr. Karmali ahead of most Dr. Is his ability to listen to what your problem is and to ask the patient the write questions to get the information he needs to properly diagnose the problem.
I highly recommend Dr karmali .

I went to this clinic and met with Dr. Karmali regarding a shoulder problem I have had going on for two years. On my first visit the problem was diagnosed, clearly explained and a treatment plan set in motion. I have been to the clinic for three treatments and am very happy with progress to date
