Dr. Sim is awesome. I fell off my horse and hit my head. I had a concussive injury and brain fog. This wrecked my life and then I met Dr. Sim who is a mircale worker. She did expensive vision therapy on me and now I am smarter than I have ever been. She is a true humanitarion who continuely learns and then applies her knowledge to help mankind. Amazing, kind caring etc, etc.

I visited Dr.Amanda Sim recently, I’ve been experiencing tension headaches, off balance feeling, confusion, brain fog and I’ve had many things looked at, blood tests, ct scan, mri. Then I was treated for depression/anxiety because I knew something was wrong because my spatial awareness just felt off, so I was just having panic attacks on a daily basis. I purchased my first set of glasses (low prescription with some astigmatism) and they were ok but I was still experiencing this weird feeling of tension/balance and a lack of spatial awareness. Then looked into chiropractic therapy due to some forward head posture thinking it would help.. and still nothing. I left it for a few years and then came across a video on YouTube about Vertical Heterophoria and thought the symptoms sound really close to what I’m experiencing. Had a referral from unionville optometry to see Dr. Amanda Sim, and she was amaizing I had so many questions for her and she helped me with all of them. I sort of went into this thinking this will just be something on my list of things I’ve tried and nothing. But no! She began her exam and through a few tests she confirmed I actually have vertical heterophoria! We then dialed in a comfortable prescription for my distance. I was so happy to finally have an answer to what I’ve been experiencing for years. She wrote me a prescription for prism glasses and I’ve felt way better ever since. It’s been a few months and I love my prism glasses I feel so much better with them! Thank you Dr.Sim for taking so much time with me, answering all my questions, making the appointment as comfortable as possible and checking up on my progress! I recommend anyone experiencing the same symptoms to look into this and visit Dr.Sim! Thanks again!

Dr. Sim is awesome and did vision therapy on me. I like her bacuase she is patient and goes to continuing education and then applies her wealth of knowledge to help her patients.

I was referred to Dr. Sim for persistent nausea and headaches from increased screen time during the pandemic. Dr. Sim very quickly identified the issue and provided vision therapy to manage the symptoms. Dr. Sim was professional, knowledgeable, kind and thoughtful and went out of her way to send resource information that she knew would be helpful. I was very happy with her service and would not hesitate to go back to see her again in the future.

I went to York mills eye clinic the other day and received such great service the moment I arrived. Before entry I had to go through the pre screening, and we all know that can become exhausting for both parties. Well this wasn’t. The staff did absolutely everything to make every process easy. I still haven’t even seen dr sim yet and I can already feel like this was going to be a dr unlike any doctor I’ve seen. Once I saw dr sim my previous thoughts were true. Dr sim was passionate about her job. She took the time to explain everything in detail even if the questions I asked were repeated. I’ve been dealing with post concussion symptoms so I’ve constantly had headaches everyday. And this day was no different. Well dr sim took her time with me and made sure I was always comfortable. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for an eye doctor.

I went to see Dr. Sim for my routine eye exam and again received the most excellent care. She always takes her time and fully explains all her findings in a very caring manner. I would and have recommended her to all my family and friend.

Failed to refer me to an eye doctor for 5 months when she promised to do so.

I paid almost 300 dollars on that particular visit too.

I call the Neuro-ophthalmologist she first claimed to have sent me to, only for her receptionist to refused to see me because according to them " they don't take referrals from optometrists ", so her office was lying to me.

Have you ever heard of a "doctor" sending patients to another doctor who doesn't take patients from them ? This is highly suspicious, and I believe that I've been lied to.

This has go to be the worst optometrist experience I've ever had. I called her office to inquire as to why I didn't get a call back from the doctor she supposedly referred me to, the receptionist told me to " follow up with my physician for a referral ".

I had to literally remind them that I PAID 300 DOLLARS for the consultation, and that I INSIST they send me to a doctor.

The doctor they finally referred me to rushed me out of his office without looking into my problem I was originally sent there for, and denied me treatment for an eye infection.

I literally had to go to another optometrist to get treatment for my eye infection because Dr Micieli refused to either look at the original eye problems I was referred to him for, but also refused to treat my eye infection that I had developed a few days prior to seeing him.

A horrible experience with Amanda Sim, I do not recommend her to anybody.

I saw Dr. Sim for concussion and she is amazing. She was so great and cured me so much so that my car insurance claim did not go through. I recommend her to all my friends.
