Biography
Allison is a licensed Acupuncturist and a registered member of the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of British Columbia. She began her studies at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York City and went on to complete the four year practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine program at the International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Vancouver. Allison has also completed Vancouver's YYoga 200 Hour Teacher Training program with the intent of supplementing her Acupuncture practice with the knowledge of body movement, alignment, and basic Ayurvedic and Buddhist principles. With an interest and respect for mental and emotional health, Allison has completed basic Psych-K® training in order to facilitate her patients to psychologically transform self-limiting or self-sabatoging beliefs and perceptions that impact life at a physical, cellular level. She was published in Try Acupuncture magazine in its Spring 2016 issue, explaining the benefits and wide range of therapeutic treatments that encompasses TCM. As an avid believer in affordable health care, Allison has volunteered for numerous years at various community acupuncture clinics in Vancouver including Poke Community Acupuncture, and The Village Community Acupuncture. Allison has experienced tremendous success in treating a wide range of physical, mental, and emotional concerns including PMS, fertility and irregular menstrual cycles, depression, anxiety, digestive issues, chronic and acute joint and muscle pain, stress, fatigue, and much more. Allison believes in truly understanding the holistic picture of every individual’s health in order to provide exceptional care that surpasses the boundaries of the physical, mental, and emotional levels. She believes that each patient is a unique case that requires understanding, skill, and above all else, compassion.
