Dr. Benoit performed a disc removal on me. He was the only neurosurgeon to actually listen to me and believe I was experiencing as much pain as I was considering my young age. I would recommend him a million times over. Not a great bedside manner but I would rather have his expertise than anything else.

I am sure he is a good neurosurgeon, however, he leaves alot to be desired when it comes to bed side manner. I was in and out of his office in a matter of 5 minutes after waiting for 3 months to see him. He should look into another profession.

Dr.Benoit operated on me for trigeminal neuralgia. Procedure was microvascular decompression surgery. I now have anesthesia dolorosa a permanent severe constant pain, (burning,gnawing,stinging) fealing in my face. This was caused by injury to the trigeminal nerve during the operation. I realize that mistakes do occur, but are exceptionally rare in performing MVD surgery, and when it happens I would exepect the Dr. to have a better response than "" which would you sooner have (The TIC) or what you have now"".Knowing what I do now, I would strongly recommend to every one ""find another Dr. if you are contemplating having this surgery"".

I could not work when I saw him; he operated me and it did not worked well. WhenI ask him for a letter telling that I could not work, he did not give me one. I had a penalty of three years on my CPP when I had to stop working. Very bad. I would not recommend him to nobody

Dr. Benoit is an excellent surgeon. He performed the Cloward's procedure on me which corrected a severe c5/6 spinal cord compression. I have healed well and I am very thankful for his expertise. Follow-up appointments with him were very helpful and informative.

No people skills, spoke to my husband not me for my surgury. Started discussing my return to work when I asked for a referal to Toronto. Did not answer my questions regarding symptoms or options after surgury left me with 'complications'.
