Avoid at all cost. My wife has been seeing him for over two years. He seems unsure keeps changing medication. She was hospitalised twice while under his care. I called him several times, my impression is that he doesn't have a care for his patients at all. I will make that she will never go back to see this man again.

I went to him for depression. He took one look at me and decided that I was depressed because I was fat. He changed all my meds to those with side effects of weight loss and insisted on weighing me at every appointment. The drugs weren't covered by Trillium and I was paying over $300 a month for them. I was so stressed out by the appointments that I asked my family doctor to prescribe the meds to me and begged her not to make me go back to him. The man did me much more harm than good.

I was referred to Dr. Shenava after ending up in the hospital after a severe anxiety attack. I found this doctor to be very judgmental and unsympathetic; when I talked about causes of anxiety he said something like "oh, come on." He barely addressed my depression at all and suggested it was my fault for not going out and doing stuff. About the only way he helped me was by prescribing meds and, frankly, my family doctor can do that. I will not be seeing him again.

he was very rude, always changed my meds, when i needed to see him when i didn't have an appointment (at the time we were trying to find out the right meds for bipolar), he told me over the phone, and i quote "i have thousands of patients, i don't have time for you, go to the emergency room"

he is very rude, does not listen to u past your first 3 words, charts everwhere, rude, disclosed personal info without my permission, tried to put me on med that the drug company itself recommends monitoring your blood sugar levels in high risk patients (dew to the fact they lost the class action lawsuit against them), he never warned me this and never monitored my sugar,i only found out when i checked the Rx on line, then when i questioned him he gave me no reason other than all meds have side effects (i guess 25 + people dying and 270+ becoming diabetic or worsening of their diabetes from this isn't enough for him to monitor [in Canada alone]), all because he didn't do medical background. after leaving his office the second person i talked to is part of the lawsuit. not so rare i guess. If I wasn't so depressed already, i would report him, i just don't have the inner strength right now. I really feel like he tried to harm me so he could put me in hospital and rake in more money.

Average visit length was less than 2 minutes (over a couple years). On one visit, he inquired how I was feeling, and when I said that my father and a good friend had died within 2 weeks of each other, his reply was "well, they were sick anyway, see you in 6 weeks". Frequently took personal calls (usually car related), files all over with clients' names visible, and a nasty receptionist. Seeing another doctor renewed my faith in psychiatry, which was pretty well shattered after my time with Dr. Shenava.

When I was hospitalized several years ago, this "doctor" was on call and had me confined to my room without seeing me or speaking with my therapist. He kept me hospitalized against my will for more than 72 hours without even seeing me. When he finally did speak with me it was because I demanded to be released and my therapist was advocating for me. He tried to intimidate me - which was a complete joke. This man is only big in his mind. He lacks compassion, common sense and most of all intelligence. I would never encourage anyone to see him.

The guys is useless. The way he deals with his patients is horrendous. Forget about him returning a phone call. Absolutely useless. Lastly, along with his terrible personal skills, his knowledge of the area of psychiatry is not as good as he thinks it is. Lastly, take that arrogance away. All in all, the worst doctor I have ever spoken with.
