Went to ER because of a suicide attempt. Got in quite quickly, but then was put in a room on a form 1 for about 26 hours. Nobody came to clean my arm or anything for about 16 hours. Asked me for a urine sample and to leave it on the counter. Not even 5 mins later, come in and tell me I'm on cocaine, meth, and heroine. They didnt even take my urine sample yet, they gave me someone else's results by mistake. After waiting 26 hours, I finally got to FACETIME with the psychologist for all of maybe 5 minutes. I was asked 3 questions, then released. Ridiculous. OB floor and pediatric floor are the only good floors in the entire place.
I can’t believe that these comments are about the WRH I went there as a high risk pregnancy, my twins stayed at the NICU for over 2.5 months, I came to ER for pneumonia for my primee babies, nothing but excellent service. Dr. Nwaesi, Bacheyie and Dr. Adie at the NICU were exceptional as well as the NICU staff with not a single exception. I owe them after god for what my 26 weeker twins are now. God bless them all.
Clinic doctor sent me to the hospital in hopes to see a surgeon about my new gallbladder issue; told me it’s need to be removed.. previously been bed ridden for over a week, unable to keep much food down and in constant pain. Made to sit in the waiting room for 7 hours before I could go back to see anyone. When I finally did, she didn’t trust the results I gave them and had to have another ultrasound, no big deal. Waited another 5 hours only to be told it wasn’t bad enough to need any surgery, and to just keep popping pill for any pain I have, and stay on a liquid diet any time it flares up. I’m trying to explain to her I was on a liquid diet previously and that I’m unable to go to work like that. Dr. Became very agitated and rude, saying I “haven’t even tried” and I need to just take a bunch of pills for the pain. Finally got to go home after a total of 12 hours. If I could give this place and this doctor a negative review, I would. Ridiculous how much she was pushing me to take all these different pills. That’s no life to live.
Too few physicians, too few nurses and wait times are insane. The biggest problem is all of these uneducated people in Windsor and Essex county using the ER as a "walk in clinic" . Stop going to the ER for colds, coughs, diarrhea, my toe hurts, fever for 10 minutes (and I didn't try Tylenol or motrin), headaches, as well as all these people that show up with their chronic health problems... That's for your family doctor to deal with! Don't go to the ER for a pain medication prescription either! That's your family doctors job, (if you ran out, that's your fault, not the ER fault). Don't call an ambulance(911) for dumb things either, like my kid has a cold for 2 days, or a fever for 1 day. 911 is for chest pain, I can't breathe, I cut my leg off with a chain saw, I'm having a stroke! Nursing homes need to stop dumping there frail weak 98 year old patients off in the ER too, get those DNR forms up to date.
