Dr. Shenava got me through a very difficult year. Although I eventually chose to stop seeing him. His receptionist is so wonderful. She truly cares about the patients. She made me feel comfortable every time I went in.

Dr. Shanava has been my doctor for almost a year. I was diagnosed with depression by my family doctor, he prescribed me Paxel which made my symptoms worse. I insisted on seeing a psychiatrist and was fortunate to be referred to Dr. Shanava. After just one session he knew my diagnosis and was able to change my medication to suit my personal needs. I am feeling much better in such a short period of time. I owe my changed life to a wonderful doctor. I would recommend Dr. Shanava to anyone suffering from depression.

I been to see this doctor 3 or 4 times already and each time I been in and out in three minutes flat with a new script in hand. The last time I was there I blew up on the guy because he tells me not to talk when he talks....I told him there to stop changing my medication ive had a mealt down once already and you can put me back on the medication that was working for me thanks. He told me that I have an anger problem and I should not make complaints of the medication as I get it free......I said the money isnt the issue here and he handed me a card to see his collegue Elisabeth Haramic which costs money only at 180 an hr I think he said. If I didn't go see this person then he would not be seeing me any more which jepordizes my treatment of stabalizing my medications. I am not happy at how this whole ordeal is going however the secretary there is a real sweetheart and she pulled me through some angry situations with her jokes......she is a great person all the way around.

I would not recommend Shenava for your mental health care. I had a horrible experience. The staff was rude, when I had Dr. Rai as well they were rude too (they share the same office). When I went in, he seemed friendly at first but then when I explained my situation he got very inappropriate. I still contemplate to this day if I should report him. I was discussing my issues and he moved up so close to me that his knees were touching my knees. I wasn't even upset or crying and he put his hand on my knee and rubbed it. He also told me that an experience that I had with sexual abuse was my own fault because I was 16 and could have done something about it. He also was rigorously asking me why I stopped seeing Rai which is none of his business. He also said I had to listen and do what he says or don't bother being his patient. He overdosed me with 2 many pills from not being on any before that. My blood pressure dropped and I passed out and got a concussion, he showed little care.

This Dr is the worst He is rude unethical has zero compassion and only cares about pushing drugs and making as much money as possible.He doesn't look over his files before seeing you causing u to have to re tell your whole life every visit I have been seeing him a year and he insults me every visit. I've been told to stay on birth control because of my condition I shouldn't have kids. My last visit did me in after having missed an appointment due to physical therapy from an accident he belittled me and refused to give me my medication unless I paid $30 and after I became very angry and tried to walk away he slammed the office door and said he was calling the cops. He is always taking personal calls during your already very short visit he leaves his files all over the place and him and the receptionist have no problem discussing confidential information in front of everyone. The receptionist once took a phone call and then upon hanging up rolled her eyes and said to me that chicks crazy

I have been seeing this doctor for about 8 years, and I find that his assistance has been competent and exceptional. I understand that his timing during appointments may fluctuate at times; nevertheless, I place the blame on the provincial government for limiting doctors and medical personnel with their contemporary health care system. Due to the limited amount of professionals in his field, I am certain that he assesses multiple patients, and thus, rushes them at times in order to accommodate the needs of others. However, I believe that he should call patients before their appointments in order to verify and remind them of their upcoming patients, but this task may be difficult considering the amount of patients he reviews.
