They book visits for people with mental health issues 3 months in advance yet never give a courtesy call to remind you. He TAKES your files home with him?? I went in one Saturday and he told me to have the pharmacy call the office and he will renew my script, it was 12:00, they close now so could I hurry and call the pharmacy or I would have to wait until Monday. I was very upset and told them it was a certain pharmacy and the receptionist "yelled" at me "there are many of them in Windsor, how am I suppose to know which one you deal with??" Well if she had given me a second to tell her or IF the DOCTOR would do his job and keep the files in the office, WHY are the files at his house?? IDIOTS, wait 35 mins (at least) sit down, get told I have lots to be happy for and should get out of bed and get a job, I am a healthy person, there is no reason I can't work, get passed a script, walk out make an appt, for 3 months down the road-- less then 5 mins!! again I can only say IDIOTS

I am a professional who shares a mutual client with this Dr. I was upset to hear from this client that she has neem denied access to this Dr. due to missing 2 appointments. She was told that without paying a $50 fee she could not see the Dr. again. The client is a young single mother with very limited income. I called this Dr's office to advocate for the client, looking to have her seen asap and arrange a payment plan for the money owed. The staff essentially confirmed that what the client was telling me was true. Then the staff was inflexible, unsympathetic, and unhelpful. I was very unsatisfied with this interaction.

This Doctor is by far the worst doctor I've ever dealt with in this field. He treat's you like your the dirt underneath his shoes, he doesn't even really care about how you are doing, he only asks about it so he can belittle you. He told me one day i couldn't be happy, because i came in telling him i had this and this symptoms. So what if i still have symptoms, can i not have a good day??. He also told me i may think im a nice person, but because of my illness, i am really deep down mean!! Defiently not a doctor i would recommend.

He is an excellent doctor and very well-educated. He is sensitive to my needs and respects my level of education by talking to me professionally. When I advised him I was seeking an holistic approach to my disorder he advised me against it but allowed me to do as I pleased, when this did not work and I called him only a week later requesting to go back on my medication he did not say "I told you so" and quickly sent in the prescription. I agree with the confidentiality and I often joke with him about the clutter in his office, but just because he is a psychiatrist doesn't mean he has to be organized. The maximum I have ever waited for him is half hour (I've waited way longer for other doctors and at clinics) and he treats his patience with not only medication but offers alternatives such as yoga. I like him.

he is very rude . Unsympathetic and his receptionist has a bad attitude. I will never see him again. I rated him the worst because he is one of the worst people i have ever encountered. The only reason he treats the people that go see him like that because he knows that if you do complain about him he is in the right , remember he is a doctor and your the one that needs to be put on medication.

When he asked me how I was feeling (which is unusual--he usually just writes a scrip asap), I told him I was still feeling down. He proceeded to berate me..."you have nothing to complain about, you are good-looking and have a house, not like people in other countries--they are fighting to survive! You should be more grateful!" How this guy ever got to be a Dr. is beyond me. He takes personal calls while you're in there... Another issue is with privacy and confidentiality--his files are all lined up on his desk right next to the patient's chair, with the names showing. I've seen names of clients of mine. The 2 women who work in reception are awful as well and need to respect privacy as well--she discussed a patient by name with Shenava while I was sitting there. I would rather be committed than see this guy again.

He usually runs late. I found that the prescribed medications did very little to improve my condition i actually changed doctors and was prescribed a different prescription that helped my condition by 100%. I found Dr. Shenava unable to explain his procedures to me and I feel that I needed more time during my visits perhaps expanding on my condition I was never told exactly my condition until my second Dr. I am not indicating that you should switch Drs at all but it did work for me.

Instead of assessing my needs, Dr Shenava wrote a Rx for the exact same ineffective meds I came in to change, telling me this "new medication" would have me feeling better in a week. Then, despite my chart stating clearly that I refuse to take potentially addictive drugs, he wrote a Rx for a benzodiazepine. He has a condescending attitude, runs consistently late by at least an hour, and interrupts rudely when you respond to his questions. He did not review my chart prior to prescribing inappropriate drugs and offered no course of treatment other than medication. My first visit lasted no more than 5 minutes. My second visit was the same. It is appalling that this negligent person is being paid to provide professional care when he does no more than occupy a chair while carelessly doling out unnecessary and inappropriate medication. I truly fear for the welfare of his more vulnerable patients.

I hate him! I saw him for 2 years. Appointments lasted 10-15minutes, once a month or every three months. He didn't seem to want to know what was bothering me, wasn't sensitive to my anxiety (you'd think a mental health professional would be). His overall demeanor was like, "Hurry up and get out, next". Messy office. Unprofessional. Didn't care how I felt about medication, just prescribed what he thought was best.
