I am a new patient of Dr. Lara's and I was very impressed by the level of service not only by him but his staff. It isn't very often that you can say that about a doctor's office these days. I had a very traumatic experience several years prior with an ENT here in Tucson and he calmed my nerves and was very asserstive to my every need. I will refer Dr.Lara to my friends and family. I was very impressed and I am very thankful for him and his staff!

My husband went for an appointment with Dr. Lara. His office staff was completely unprofessional and insisted that his copay was more than what it actually was. We confirmed with our insurance company that our copay was, in fact, the amount we already knew it to be. The office staff was insistent in their ignorance and refused to double check. My husband was so disgusted with their curt, arrogant attitudes that he took his new patient paperwork and left without seeing the doctor. Dr. Lara needs to be aware that his office staff is incompetent and has cost him at least one patient.

I am suffering from allergies, and I was diagnosed years ago with allergies to house dust. My eyes are watery and my nose is running or congested, and I also have postnasal dripping. I was seeking help by Dr. Lara. He performed a nasal endoscopy and suggested to peform a scan. The health insurance approved the scan, but my share of the costs, because of my deductible, would have been over $300, which I currently cannot afford. They send me home with the suggestion to do nasal washes. They also wanted to give me "some samples to help my symptoms", which they ended up not having, and their comment was" let us know when you can afford the scan". I told Dr. Lara that I was using Afrin nasal spray, which should be used only temporarily, because it causes rebound congestion. No suggestion was made or prescription was given to me to use steroid nasal spray to see if this helps my before performing a scan. This visit was very useless and expensive. No wonder the american health care system is so expensive.

Dr. Lara was working with me to deal with several issues, and he ordered a CT of my neck to look at tonsils and instead of tonsil issues thyroid cancer was found. Because he orders appropiate tests that gives him all the information, my cancer was found early.

Dr Lara and his staff are such a wonderful team, I am always treated very well by the staff, great group of Ladies. And Dr Lara is just wonderful and listens to you. He Is always there when I need to see him and the staff will always work me in.How Lucky I am to Have them all in my corner. Thank You to all of you making me feel better.

Jonathan lara is a DO and not an MD and I do not believe he is board certified in ENT though that is what his office told me. I saw him for ear problem. He did a good job, correctly diagnosing and treating me. I would certainly see him again. I was satisfied with his treatment, manner, behavior and attitude. However, he is part of Carslon ENT, and their office staff is very aggressive in unnecessary treatments. If you do not know what you want and are not firm, they will walk all over you. They tried to do all sorts of unnecessary ear tests on me which were neither warranted nor authorized by me. Though with pay-for-service medical model of US medicine, this is what all large medical practices do to ensure maximum insurance reimbursement. Bottom line, good doctor, bad office staff. I STRONGLY URGE ALL TO POST THEIR EXPERIENCES WITH SPECIFIC DOCTORS ON INTERNET SO WE CAN BE BETTER INFORMED MEDICAL CONSUMERS AND PATIENTS.
