Teppertan is the same colour as Donald Trump. And he's an aggressive huckster who sells you glasses you don't really need. Just avoid.

Totally agree with the comments here of him being rude, arrogant and condescending. All that in front of my children because I didn't take them to see him on a yearly bases. He went on to let me know that if I don't take them yearly, that he will no longer take them as his patient.

I went to see him for the first time by accident because I hadn't had my eyes examined in 10 years and I mixed up Bay College Optometrists with Bay Bloor Optometrists. Right away they told me they didn't take insurance and asked for my credit card number. I realized after that I had called the wrong doctor and called them back to let them know. They told me they would see me soon as they had scheduled me for an appointment that same day. Not wanting to be charged for a cancellation, I went. I wholeheartedly echo the sentiments made in previous comments, he was rude and condescending and I ended up leaving in tears. I've never felt so shamed and spoken down to by a medical professional ever. His barking 'No' at me when I went to take my glasses out of the case when he asked for them, or when he told me to sit at an instrument and I went to sit but on the wrong side was not necessary. Don't go here if you're a woman or someone with anxiety. The whole visit was borderline traumatising and I do not wish to go back there again.

He's rude, condescending, smarmy and been going through a midlife crisis for 20 years now. Dr. Tightpants can be charming - depending on the patient, the state of his tan and which of his associates he's currently "dating." It's difficult to trust his knowledge and judgement, because he is always upselling. $$$

He was my optometrist for many years. When my financial situation took a turn for the worse and I couldn't afford to pay for unnecessary tests or purchase my eyeglasses there anymore - Dr. Tepperman dumped me as a patient.

To be clear, he didn't do it personally. I was called when it was time for my next appointment and informed that he couldn't see me as a patient anymore.

I've switched to one of his former associates who had a very hard time getting my records from Teppermant.

Charges far too much. Twists your arm to buy. I’m finding another optometrist. Every time I go I walk out with a $1,000.00 bill. My husband and I had a huge fight over this last bill. So that’s it. I’m done.

He charges far too much. My husband went postal when he got the charge bill. It’s $1,000 every time you go. He always talks you into something. I’ve now had numerous fights over him. I’ve got a name of a new optometrist. I shouldn’t have to pay for all of his trips, as I sit home going nowhere trying to pay his bill!

Horrible optometrist. Fit my contacts poorly and then blamed me for wasting his time when I had to return for a refit. His fees are higher than normal for an examination, so I confirmed with his staff the cost of the exam citing I did not want to exceed that cost. Disregarding my requests he ultimately charged me much more. Incompetent and rude with a very high opinion of himself. Previous to him I saw the excellent doctors of Josephson practitioners for years. I don’t know how he acquired their phone number or practice but he does not compare to any of those excellent doctors.

I have been going to Dr. Tepperman for over 30 years and have always been completely satisfied with the care that he has provided. I would not go to to any other optometrist. He is professional, knowledgeable, caring and he has provided excellent advice on all my eye care needs. Dr. Tepperman has made himself available at any time when I have experienced unexpected eye issues. I have been able to see him within hours of my call. His diagnosis has always been accurate and his recommended course of action effective.
When I was younger, I was never able to wear contact lenses. He was the only optometrist who was successful in finding the right type of contacts for me which I then was able to wear effortlessly for years.
He more recently provided excellent, balanced advice regarding cataract surgery and he guided me through the process which was ultimately successful.
I am very thankful towards Dr. Tepperman.
