He's a kind man with a good sense of humour. I have found my time with him to be helpful.

I spent 7 years under Dr. M's care while working through the aftermath of trauma from a MVA, that left me with PTSD, agoraphobia, anxiety, depression, and chronic pain. I was in the middle of a long law suit, battling insurance companies and lawyers, and trying to heal both mentally and physically.. I just wanted to shut down. His guidance, support, compassion, and knowledge helped keep my afloat. His office was a safe space for me to share, and I was always met with warmth and understanding. Dr. M helped me to literally and metaphorically get back on my feet, and learn to feel safe in the world in a very gentle way. He is generous with his time, and he is truly in this business to help people on their journey to heal. He is authentic, and has a great sense of humor.

In an initial consultation with Dr. Mermigis about some family issues, I told him that my siblings didn't have the same amount of education that I do, and without allowing me to finish my sentence, he told me that I shouldn't look down on them for that and that he didn't look down on his clients; most of whom have less education than him. I was going to tell him that I think my siblings feel threatened by my education. I find this behaviour to be very unprofessional and far from helpful; it has the potential to cause further damage.

Dr. Mermigis took me on as a client after a very traumatic MVA that I experience. Dealing with the stress of the event, as well as having to deal with insurance and lawyers left me paralyzed in fear. I cannot begin to express how helpful, gentle, understanding, and empathetic he was through a very long process. He is so very knowledgeable, wise, and has a great sense of humor. I am grateful that after such a horrific experience, I was able to find him as a psychotherapist to help me on my journey to mental wellness.

Goes above and beyond, truly caring about his patients. His Character is genuine, he is a real person that you can relate to. I am thankful there are doctors like him out there to help us.

Dr. Mermigis offered a clear understanding and sensitivity to changing relationships to do with work, family, friends, and professional after I had a serious accident. He is very easy to talk to, he responded nonjudgmentally, honestly and with empathy and this encouraged healing, making choices, and adjusting to changes in life. He was very beneficial to a recovery.
