"what do you want me to do about it." That was his response at the walk in clinic when I told him how i couldn't leave bed with how sick I am. After grilling me about why I couldn't see my GP (he was on vacation) he finally examined me only after I said I think it is a a sinus infection. He asked how I know, I explained I've had lots in the last year and am waiting to get my CT results. Antibiotics prescribed, but how could a doctor be so confrontational when a patient needs help?

I have been going to Dr. S for 9 or so years. I know if I bring a concern to him, he looks in to it, as well he is proactive in my health care, more so than I am even. I don't think he suffers fools, but I can't say as I blame him, or that he is the only medical practitioner like that. They are all way to overworked these days to be able to. If we are working on any kind of treatment plan or following anything, he always checks my record to see what is working and what is not. My only challenge is finding time to see him between my schedule and his.

HORRIBLE. I would NOT recommend Dr. Swanepoel to anyone. He does not pay attention, listen or seem to care what I (patient) say. I am looking for a new Dr.

Dr Swanepoel has been my doctor for the last few years and I find him very good. One commenter says he doesnt take blood pressures but I bet he has taken mine 30 times at least. I find him quite knowledgeable and I probably ask too many questions but he does answer them, always.

My family has been seeing Dr Swanepoel for the past year since we moved to Maple Ridge. He is fantastic. I am so pleased with him and find him very knowledgeable with great follow through and attention to detail. One of the best doctors I have had.

Excellent doctor and staff. Has been our family doctor for approx 8 years now. Has taken us through many difficult times and illnesses. Has tracked down some medical issues we had and sent us to the correct and highly qualified specialists also.
Does not hesitate to give us a hard time if we do not follow medical directions etc. Makes sure we follow up on exams, blood tests etc, and does not randomly hand out medications. We were lucky to get him as our family doctor after our other doctor retired.
