Dr Swanepoel is a good GP. He works three lical clinics and has established himself in maple ridge. On my personal observations, todays doctors see alot of misuse of his services. Some people go to ER just for a chest cold . This Dr is about getting a real problen solved. If indeed you actually have a problen and not just spreading your average cold around. " thanks for that". The consistant amount of no shows,and the overwhelming amouny of issues people leave to the last second. Dr Swanepoel is a perfectly knowledgable resource for getting in touch with the right specialists. He has a very clean and respectful practice, including his receptionist who is super accommodating . They both are great people and quite personable once you get to know them.

Sadly we are in a day and time when a barely capable, unfriendly, incompetent receptionist along with an un-interested, barely there (always clock watching. maybe 10 mins if lucky), unfriendly, unprofessional and incompetent doctor is better than not at all. We refer to him as Dr. Do Nothing or Dr. Don't Care. We should call him Dr. Use Canadians. He's being paid by us. ...this country to do his job and he *itches about it. He's making his money for his retirement back in S. Africa. He works the clinics for the money but won't at the hospital. Insurance. If you aren't his family patient, don't go to walk in. Unless ear,nose or throat. ..too bad. Doesn't know you. He writes scripts and refers. Doesn't do blood pressure. Lab reqs. Nothing. Sadly we continue to pay his wages because having a dr is better than not. We keep looking. So should you.

He's been my family doctor for years now, along with my mothers and brothers. He's absolutely terrible. Very disrespectful and will not listen to you when you talk. 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Complete a$$hole. Saw this POS at a clinic as my 3 year old was sick with fever. He didn't listen to his chest, check his ears or check his throat. Even when I suggested he do so. Wanted nothing to do with checking my son out. Just a number to pump out of a clinic.

I feel like I may be the only person having negative experiences with this doctor. Both times I saw him in a clinic setting. Once for severe menstrual pain and once for chest pain, both times he recommended I sleep more and take gravol.

Dr. Swanepoel is the best doctor I've had to date and I'm 63. I would highly recommend him as a GP.

Dr. Swanepoel become our doctor à few years ago after Moving from up north, my husband and i ,both had THE Same doctor for many years, so trying to find à doctor wasnt easy, we are very lucky to have found him! Hè is THE first doctor who figured out why i always get ear Aches, nobody in THE walk in clinics seem to be able to figure it out!! He has a great sense of humor and always has time to listen, between the dr and Janet, it's like visiting a good friends who are there to help. I highly recommend him and his great staff.

Generally is polite and knowledgable although a tad condescending. I had to find another md who was willing to assist me with my medical concerns as I got the standard òh you are imagining that as you are menopausal.

Janet and Dr. Swanepoel are amazing. Quick booking appointments and always pleasant. Both my husband and I go to him and really like him. He is very caring and very genuine and won't feed you pills just to shut you up.
