I am so thankful to have Dr. Kaplan as my GI specialist. He is competent and knowledgeable about new therapies and cares about his patients. He is very busy but still finds time to connect with his patients and listen to what they have to say. He is a humble and kind person and I am so grateful to have him on my medical team.

Warm informative conversation, he explained thing I had not known before re diagnosis’s of previous procedures. Very approachable . Will follow up with GI problems if needed. There was never any rush on time to talk. Nice to see Drs that care.

Met Dr Kaplan on the day of a colonoscopy at FHH. Professional, thoughtful, considerate and polite bedside manner. Most important, he LISTENED to my history and concerns. He also demonstrated a positive and professional manner within the RN working with him. Procedure was uneventful, I received his report from the Endoscopy staff, which outlined his plan of care for me. This was a positive experience from start to finish, including the staff in the Endoscopy Unit. Thankyou everyone.

I have been a patient of Dr K since 2011. He quickly diagnosed my Crohns disease and has treated me diligently over the years. I never have to call for my 6 month check ups. My yearly colonoscopy is usually very accurate with the exception of Covid. Understandable. The world was backed up with this pandemic. Bedside manners are impeccable. Very knowledgeable. He always phones or books a follow up appt with results or I have my family Dr obtain results from NetCare. I would recommend Dr K and trust his decisions without hesitation.

This doctor is a self-serving, self-promoting and really doesn't care about patients. I was impressed with his COVID series and my doctor suggested I take part in a COVID study with Dr. Kaplan. One of his residents saw me, nice British gentleman ,and then Kaplan came in with what appeared to be a scripted tale on how would benefit me and all patients. Months later after numerous tries to get my results, calling his office, nurses, and research assistants. No answers. No call backs. I called my regular GI and he said that only Dr. Kaplan has the results of my serology. Thanks for using us Dr. Kaplan. Stop pretending you care about patients. You obviously only care about yourself and your research.

They just don't get any better than Dr K. His knowledge is without limit. Most of all he truly cares. What a gift he is to the profession.

I feel really lucky to have stumbled into Dr Kaplan’s care. I was diagnosed with UC about 6 years ago, and I’ve been seeing Dr Kaplan a few times a year since then. He’s such a kind, empathetic human. He always listens, validates, and comes up with strategies to solve whatever problem I’m facing. I wish all doctors were as good as Dr Kaplan...you can tell that he really cares.

Dr Kaplan saved my life. No one else had diagnosed me in over a year of going down hill. My life was misery. He diagnosed me, in part using Dr Wilson and her amazing ultra sounds and immediately put me on a course of treatment that gave me back a quality of life. He has built an extremely respectful, responsive, team around him and they all communicate well. It means I don't fall between the cracks when I am unsure about something. They respond to any changes in my health with immediate action
. I feel like I have a safety net under me and the best care in the world. If I have to have this horrible disease then I am so lucky to have the care of Dr Kaplan.
