Hands down the best doctor I've ever seen. At times I think he's a mind reader because he answers my questions before I even ask him. and this always puts me at ease.

Truly amazing and compassionate man. I can't believe I have been with him for 20 years and through two pregnancies. It truly feels like I'm having a conversation with an old friend when he walks into the room. He now sees my oldest daughter who developed Crohn's at 16 and he was kind enough to give his opinion to her paediatric GI while we transferred over to him.

I have always found Dr. Remo extremely caring and down to earth. I have multiple medical problems and many physicians continue to call me complex. I always feel that I'm shuffled here and there except when I come and see Dr. Remo. He's always been very attentive to my Crohn's disease and often ends up quarterbacking my care with the other specialists. I appreciate that he cares enough to answer my emails and help me make medical decisions in other areas of my health. He's always surrounded by very smart younger doctors from all over the world who come and train with him and they have also been equally as nice.

I just met this doctor in the hospital. We were told by another doctor that she could die. She was hemorrhaging to death and we were seen in our local emergency department. The doctor said that they could not do anything and needed to transfer her to the city and talked to this doctor for a procedure. We were all scared. He met us in the emergency department and calmed my mother and our family down. He explained things thoroughly and said he would do his best to stop her bleeding. He did this procedure within an hour of us arriving and stopped her bleeding. He came to speak to us and gave us good news. He was a very kind man and I'm thankful that he saved her life

Very fortunate to have Dr. P as my Crohn's specialist. He seems incredibly busy and I know fellow patients who I have met where i get my therapy that have tried to switch to him but apparently he is now very hard to get in to see as a new patient unless your GI refers you to him. He's always been pleasant and on top of my disease. Can't imagine what I'm going to do when he retires.

Just saw Remo live after two years during the pandemic and came hear to send some good vibes. I was shocked by some of these comments . He’s always been my rock with my Crohns and is always there when I need him. I have his email and gets back to me when I have questions and as others I find him warm and friendly and certainly at the forefront of his field. If anything I find even when I’m well he is making me do bloodwork , ultrasounds and now stool tests to monitor my disease . Admittedly, I do usually see one of his fellows first but he always sees me with them when I’m in the clinic. I wouldn’t trust my Crohns to anyone else

Simply the best Crohn's specialist in Canada. He got my disease back on track over 15 years ago and I haven't looked back. I move extensively for work and was nervous leaving him but he assured me he would always be there for me. Despite having seen many specialists, I consider Dr. P my go to guy and all my other GI specialists have the ultimate respect for him. Even though I'm not under his care I pass things by him whomever I'm seeing and he gets back to me promptly.

Wonderful doctor. Kind, caring, compassionate. Recently, I was unsure about the COVID vaccine and getting pressure from my family to not get vaccinated and was asking him for a vaccine exemption. He asked me and my husband to come in and spent half an hour answering my questions and those of my husband. He didn't confuse me with science or make me feel guilty. As always I felt he had my best interests at heart and both my husband and I left and went for our first dose.

I’m not a person the write reviews but I thought I would give this doctor an excellent grade. I agree with what everyone has said. He is top of his field, warm, kind, and friendly. Today I stumbled across this site while looking for his email as he said I could email him any time. I emailed him to simply ask a question on a third booster vaccine . To my surprise , he emailed me back within half and hour. It’s Sunday !!! He is always there for me and I appreciate that level of support and dedication
